I find in fascinating that many on here decry a player from where he's been previously
Players do come through levels and become high end players
Andy Robertson
Alfredo Morelos
Henrik Larson
Lubo moravcic as a few examples
I totally get and agree we need 1st 11 players but we cannot dismiss players we can develop and sell on unfortunately that's where we are
Pains me to say it but over the other side of city have done that well yes there are have been duffers but in the main scouting has been far better for years, hopefully with our new guy in place it's going to get better

Larsson came from Feyenoord so hardly a backwater mate. Also him and Moravcik were established internationals. Easy to get seduced by Robertson (vardy always the other one mentioned) but these guys are exceptions to the rule. Won't be a player with a rise as fast as Robertson for another twenty years.

It's easy to develop players when u have no competition. Rangers have only became a force again in last couple of seasons.

Smell my point is where they started to where they ended up we need to be looking at deals that make us money long term
Example of Morelos if we said today we’re looking at a young Columbian from Helsinki guaranteed we’d get not good enough must aim higher won’t win 55 with that level of signing in yet we stand to lift massive profit on him and many rue his potential exit.

100% agree with you BBS hopefully our scouts can find a gem or two.
SG signings have been 50/ 50 for me at the moment and it needs to get better if we are to challenge them.

Everyone is aware we need to sign with future investment in mind mate, we definitely agree on that. We also need cast iron, first team stand outs this season. We have spent the last couple years trying to get bargains and with a couple of exceptions (Fredo included) we have not got the best hit rate. Guys that end up in the stands bleeding a wage that will never cut it. I actually feel we probably have the same opinions mate, just those names quoted didn't tally up with your argument. All good debate though 👍.
