I’m right behind Gerrard, he’s is making enormous strides, we were at least 6 years behind Celtic when he arrived and he’s almost closed the gap already in such a short time with a lesser budget . His record in Europe has been outstanding, way above expectations before we kick a ball in our next tie, refs robbed him of his first trophy not Fraser foster, the goal was offside, undeniable so gets the tag ‘robbed ‘regardless of excuses . I also think our current slump is due to a lot of different things, 1. Morelos has been tamed, constant berating and cards which are petulant from a refereeing standard have had an effect, he needs to not be a deer in the headlights and get back to his fire n fury like everyone else in the spl although he ain’t as malice, focus on bringing his game back and don't Let the B’s get u down, 2 Ryan jack is back and was sorely missed, most improved player in Scotland for me and undermined how big his absence was 3.hagi is beginning to gel, and is exactly for me as Gerrard described, the spark we need, gets better by each game and for me it was jack or hagi as many of the match v Livingston 4 Barisic is back And apart from Morelos when on fire he’s our best outfield player in an attacking sense, more assists than Kent from a deeper role 🤔 also I think our defence has been amazing and Goldson has been absolutely solid although gets stuck here, an ever ready performer like our badge used to say ‘ever ready ‘ yes the ‘odd’ mistake but when it comes to defending an ‘odd’ mistake is completely bearable, Katic and Edmundson have been great as well, although I prefer Katic and don’t think he should’ve been dropped after the Aberdeen game cause a clean sheet is a clean sheet after all is said n done, but it’s good to keep him on his toes so I don’t really have any complaints, Gerrard is just trying to get a steady ship, where u perform for 90 minutes week in week out, which is what titles are made of huh 🤔.

Goldson cost us goals at a Pittodrie, Tynecastle and Rugby Park for a start. He gave away a needless free kick at Hampden which led to their goal and gave away Edouard’s goal at Ibrox this season. Lucky not to concede a penalty at Hamilton last week for that ridiculous hand ball so please don’t make him out to be a superstar.

Nearly every pundet and so called experts in the game said it would take Rangers 10 years and 50 million plus to compete with Celtic. Remember when just 2 n half years ago they pumped us on our own patch 5 nothing and that score flattered Rangers.

Regarding lesser budget the dims spent 20 mill on 3 players. SG has got 35 players for the same 20 million. That's the level of re building that we have had to do.

We are now at a level where we are competing with them. Yes our form this month hasn't been good however outwith the hearts game, poor refereeing has cost us the other lost points and a cup. Also injury and suspension of key players in the last month have had an effect.

Our form and results in europe is up there in the top 20 teams in both in the eufa and CL.

Yet some on here want SG replaced as I said remember 2 n half years ago ko d by progress and getting beat 5 coming on 10 nil in our own patch by the dims.

Good post Gaz, I intend to agree wi the replies that Goldson is a bit of a scaremonger at times.

He seems to dilly dally in front of our own goal when he has the ball looking like he doesn't know what to do next.

I am always looking through my fingers waiting for him to passback to our goalie then an opposition striker nicking the ball off him.

Yeah Goldson Does have the odd error but our defence as a whole is performing excellent and as far as I can see we have let in the same amount of goals as Celtic this year, compared to letting in 7 more than them last year at the end of the season . For me goalkeeper to defence has been solid and even improved on last year, our defence is better than celtics in my opinion and wouldn’t be getting jip if we were winnings games they have the odd blip by out scoring the teams . . We are 18 goals or so behind them in goals scored, Its the lack of goals and assists from others other than Morelos that’s really costing us, and blaming someone for a goal scored from a free kick they gave in an old firm is harsh, there’s free kicks a plenty in old firms 😂😂😂.

If we are competing with them, how come we are 10 points and 18 goals behind them? They don't look like dropping points when they go into a game and I'm never convinced that we look likely to win when we do.
