Its so ironic fellow bears, that our loan midfielder at hibs greg docherty, has already been very impressive for hibs after just 3 games. Already the biggest majority of hibs fans want doch signed on a permanent deal at the end of the season. They're absolutely raving about doch and some are already saying that young doch IS the replacement for john mcginn. What a compliment don't you think? Hope gerrard keeps docherty at rangers and gives him his chance of becoming a regular rangers player for the start of next season, as he's a box to box midfielder.

Said before don't know why weet him go, I'd have much rather him than aribo in the engine room at rugby park last night. Big aribo has great feet but he's so lazy its frustrating.

As much as I'd love Doc to stay at Rangers, it's obvious Gerard just doesn't fancy him for whatever reason. Now I know folk say he sees him day in day out in training, but hopefully he's looking at what he's done at Hibs so far. However, for the benefit of his career, Doc would be as well leaving, because he will never get a chance under Gerard.

Only half an hour or so and only an opinion (I’ve seen nothing else of him at hivs) but against BSC (I also accept it was cold and windy) Doc was utter garbage, passing was brutal, couldn’t hold the ball at all against them, I like him but don’t think he’s anything like a solution to our problems.

Agree, Docherty has what our midfield is missing and that is energy and drive. Not sure if he has the final pass as not seen enough of him but its simple, doesn't fit into SG's system.
I expect him to go at the end of the season.

The thing that I've seen since the break is that we play at a lethargic pace, no venom, no intensity, no belief, that comes from the players, not the Manager, but his job is to sort it out, and the only way to do that is bench the under performers, which he hasn't done, so yes, he is culpable.

I always liked Docherty because of hid drive and enthusiasm, something that is not being shown by many of the current (so called) first team.

If this doesn't improve by the end of this month, or mid-March then he is in trouble and in danger of being sacked.

Don't think Gerrard's feelings about Docherty have anything to do with ability. Knows a mifielder. If anyone does, Stevie does. Docherty is good enough for Rangers. Gerrard knows this. But it has nothing to do with that.

Before January there is not one person would have had Docherty in our starting 11.
A couple of decent games for Hibs and a few below par performances from Rangers and suddenly he is our saviour? 🤣😂🤣.
