A lot of comments on here about how we need another striker who can bully defences like Morelos does when Morleos isn't available as I think we're all in agreement that Defoe did nothing today and can't play as a lone striker. Well, I'm sitting here watching Jason Cummings pull Liverpool CB's all over the place, and scored twice for Shrewsbury. And yes, there's no VVD playing for Liverpool but he's giving Lovren and Matip the run around. Thoughts? I really think he wasn't given a fair crack at it when he was with us on loan.

No for me sorry. He can't even get a start for Shrewsbury. We need more of a target man imo. Reason is sometimes we need to mix it up and go long. Defoe has never played as a lone striker. You can't expect him to win balls in the air when CB are 6ft plus.
