We will all no doubt agree what was said to Scott Brown by that boy was absolutely horrible. I am in no way defending what he said. The whole punishment and witch hunt of the boy doesn't sit comfortably with me though. A lot of people are forgetting that the lad is a child after all. Therefore, a 5 year ban and a face to face apology would've been a more appropriate punishment. A life time ban for a child saying something in a moment of sheer stupidity seems a bit much. There are fans of both sides who have served life for murdering someone from the other side after an oldfirm derby. They are now out moving on with their life and now, going to games etc. Yet this boy will never be allowed through the doors of Ibrox again. I am happy to see justice being served for Broony. But where is the justice in life time bans for 15 year old children? Am I being too soft in my old age?

If it was an adult a lifetime ban would be fair enough. But for a 15 year old seems harsh. We all did stupid stuff when we were 15.

Too soft in your old age pal. Who has these thoughts let alone says them? It’s disgusting. 15 is old enough to know.

I’d like to say education is the answer but maybe it’s deeper rooted. One can only imagine what his parents are like.

The ban is appropriate and hopefully one day, he can reflect on what he’s missing out tonight on and use the free time to contribute something positive. Wishful thinking I’m certain.

You would think nobody had ever made a mistake before ✌️.

I think this one strike and your out method is OTT, we all make mistakes, but the punishment should be appropriate to the crime. Stupid and offensive thing to say, several year ban and move on.

Would have liked Rangers to try and educate the boy and make an example of him. Yes he was in the wrong but we live in a country where we can get redemption for any crime. This should be no different if the lad would be willing. Maybe a better way of dealing with kids of a similar ilk.

Lifetime ban sits fine with me. iv said b4, there’s a line that just shouldn’t be crossed. i genuinely hope this sets an example and that the club continues to ban absolute morons that spout this kind of rubbish.15 or not, I’m pleased that he’s banned.

People can and should be allowed to change. A lifetime ban is excessive. The law allows people to rehabilitate but football fans are not?

have to agree with Gersdaft, think he's spot on.
