Whilst it's clear our players simply are not good enough, the smug Steve Clarke has been found out.

Eck was lambasted by everyone including many on here but he is not the hopeless case he was made out to be.

The reality is that our grassroots game needs to be turned on its head, we need to nurture the talented players, coach potential and look 10 years ahead.

Big strong players who bully their opponents will never win anything outside of Scotland and the promotion of this type of player at youth level has stalled out game.

I doubt if guys like Davie Cooper would be talent spotted nowadays.

Mcleish was treated appallingly by the SFA, press and the 'Tartan Army'. I noticed that a few players were quick to tell the press how much better everything was now Clarke was in charge. that was before the last 2 games.

None of the young players at Rangers in particular get a chance so how can Scotland's national team ever get better? What about Burt, McPake, Hastie, Bates, McLeod, etc? We have ONE player in our squad who should play for Scotland - Jack. Sad days.

Exactly doiger. We’ve even had to leave out players in Europe because we don’t have enough domestically trained players in our squad.
