Reading between the lines, I think we were possibly preparing to sign him permanently, but with this court ruling we have had to scrap the idea! Really hope I am wrong, as I think 7m would be doable for us if structured right.

I wouldn't pay 7m for him even if we could afford to.

Personally I think 4m is fair value given its only 1 good season he has had and even then he still has to improve to be worth the values being shouted about.
