No mate it doesn't, unfortunately scoring plenty goals in the spl doesn't make you a 20mil plus player, neither does a one cap cameo appearance for colombia, neither does an assist for colombia. Fair enough if he was performing in the champions league or a level above the spl. I'm afraid scoring goals against hearts killie etc or the odd uefa cup goal will not force the rich clubs to part with over 20mil for him. Just reality.

Does that mean, by your theory and the OP's theory, that turnbull is worth more or better than arfield? No of course it doesn't. So what's mcburnie moving for 15mil got to do with fredo's value? Absolutely nothing. Shankland scored more goals than morelos, is shankland worth 20mil? I agree that we shouldn't sell ourselves short but a bit of logical perspective has to be applied.

Coldo what you’re overlooking is quite important. ability. Morelos is actually better than ALL the players discussed, by a long long way. That’s what dictates the price. Not just where you play and how many goals your score.

Morelos is better and that’s why he’s worth more than McBurnie etc.
