Is there any way we could exted ibrox as we have 14,000 waiting list?

You got the money to pay for it.

If I remember correctly someone said if we were to match the club deck on the Sandy jardine/ govan stand then that would prob be the best way as the corners can't be filled in for some reason I can't remember maybe something to do with the way it's built behind the screens.

the 14k waiting list kind of answers that question bear 82

obv we would need the money up front to extend initially but it could be paid back inside 2/ 3yrs

Yes we would need significant investment i agree, but our demand far exceeds the supply year on year &’that’s something we can i’ll afford to ignore - we need to tap into all the available revenue streams we can

i do think the club need to seriously consider it for the mid to long term whether it’s filling in corners or another tier in the govan stand

just my opinion.

Bear 82 how about selling morelos for 20m?!

Not being funny at all here guys, but where were the 14,000 that are on the waiting list, when we were playing in the 3rd division and battling our way back through the leagues? Its easy to support when things are looking up, but the best most loyal supporters can be found in adversity. that's a fact. Now that steven gerrard is our manager and there's a wee sniff we're about to start winning things again, all the closet bears crawl through the woodwork, wanting to be part of our wonderful football club again!

Wa there not one chat a while back about lowering the pitch and putting mor seat at ground level. For our 150th anniversary?

Its a 'goal post shape' steel structure that goes over the govan broomloan and copland stands, very similar to tynecastle sangil80. This is the reason for the corners not being filled. This structure supports the roof of each stand. I read this on another rangers forum a while back. Adding a tier to the govan I think would be the best solution.

Coop who cares if the list is bigger now? A fair weather bears pound has the same value as a diehard pound. We will never be in that position again and it's an opportunity to make money.

Can’t lower the pitch any lower or we will be in river Clyde best way is get rid of screens fill in corners it can be done but will cost let’s get winning team onnpark first sure rebuilding stadium will come in time by the way seen drawing done years with corners filled in done by architect capicity would go up to 59,000.

Snell its the principal pal! Rangers for life, not just for christmas and all that. Try and catch my drift.
Supporters NOW wanting to be part of our wonderful institution, once there's a sniff of the glory days returning. GLORY being the key word here.

When Willie Waddell help to design new Ibrox they could put an extra tier on each new stand but who’s got the cash for that project.

12.) 26 Jun 2019

We do need to look at expanding the stadium but listening to the fact we should add a new tier on top of the Govan would mean we need to resolve the corners anyway to add support for the third tier. So if that's the case we should eventually just do the corners and increase to 59000 capacity.

Coops, we had a waiting list even at bottom league, and filleibrox every gsme.

Frustrated blue, our waiting list was paltry back then in the bottom league and nowhere near 14,000 mate.
Only being frank and honest.

27 Jun 2019 06:41:44
coops, Ibrox was full every second week all the way back so what are you talking about?

16.) 27 Jun 2019
27 Jun 2019 07:20:26
Yes, if you are going to extend the Govan stand the corners would be demolished with extra support steel added and hopefully the corners could be filled with seats.

You could be looking st £8 to £10 million per season in revenue. Must be worth looking at.

Jyf, do you not understand what i'm talking about? Let me rephrase it for you mate. Yes down at the lower leagues ibrox was full. I'm talking about the waiting list now jumping to 14k. Its risen because fans now realise that rangers are getting close to winning things again and with the steven gerrard impact of being our manager. So glory hunters want to go that we're now about to become a real force again. I watched a similar pattern unfold, when graeme souness became our player/ manager, in 1986.Hope that explains it for you pal.

27 Jun 2019 11:42:53
Coop I don't think the waiting list has ever been what it is, even during 9iar and the advocat era. The feel good is here and people want to be a part. Where would rangers be without you? Lol.

20.) 27 Jun 2019
27 Jun 2019 12:03:39
Coop, it’s surely so positive to see 14000 on the waiting list and the way it should be! I am over in Spain at the moment and the amount of kids wearing Gers tops is absolutely brilliant to see and we should be encouraging them to the Brox?

21.) 28 Jun 2019
28 Jun 2019 17:03:03
Stvg loyal - the fans were unable to get season tickets because we have a shortage of seats, hence the waiting list.

22.) 28 Jun 2019
28 Jun 2019 17:04:40
coop, a lot of people might not buy season tickets because they can't afford it every year or maybe because they work shifts and can't make every Saturday. There will be plenty different reasons. You are not a "better" fan or a "die hard" or a "best more loyal fan" because you go to more games than another fan. that's nonsense mate. I bet if you asked every rangers fan if they wanted a season ticket they'd say yes, but its not always possible. Yip the feel good is here and that will encourage fans to get involved. I suggest you reign it in a bit because you are certainly not better than any other fan. I work shifts and can't make every Saturday but I'd be more than happy when I can't make it to give my season ticket to a fellow bear who would appreciate a day at the game. St johnstone and Livingston are home games I won't make due to work. I would have been working the old firm game at the end of august but I managed to get that weekend swapped so happy days.

23.) 28 Jun 2019
28 Jun 2019 17:05:39
Steven Gerrard loyal
I waited in a que for nearly 2 hours to get my season ticket back after we got demoted to the 3rd division. We had 38-39k season ticket renewal to watch a garbage rangers team play against part timers and low quality opposition. I don't think you can question rangers fans loyalty for that.

24.) 28 Jun 2019
28 Jun 2019 17:07:17
So in that saying, ie fairweather fans. If we were to do something insane in europe and win something that waiting list would double. But as they didn't want the tickets before they shouldn't be allowed?!? Rangers are selling a brand, and its hard to sell a brand that's in the lower divisions. Just be happy we have a club that even has a waiting list of one rather than a great looking 14,000 fans desperate to get tickets.

25.) 28 Jun 2019
28 Jun 2019 17:08:13
There are many other ways to support the club if fans can't get to ibrox. Rtv, merchandise etc. "The best most loyal fans" are not just the one's that turn up at games. I work shifts so can't make every game. The games I won't make up until Christmas are st johnstone and Livingston. I would have been working the first old firm but luckily enough I got a guy at work to cover my shift. Anyway I'd be more than happy to give my season ticket for the games I can't make to a loyal bear who otherwise might not have been able to make the game.
