Guys, be realistic if you are one of the people call for SG to be sacked. Take a deep breathe and ask your self the following questions if you got your way and he was sacked:
1 Who would replace him
2 Who would want to join a club that sacked the manager after 1/2 a season
3 Could you get as high a profile player or manager to replace him (unlikely)
4 What message would we be sending out?
5 Who would see us an investment give we have a history of instability
6 Given the time frame and budget Who would realistically would have done a better job
7 should we not be trying our best to support a young manager learning his trade who has a profile that will carry our club a long way
8 what is best for the club long term plans and stability or constant chop and change
9 if we sign 3 good players in the Jan window and kick on would you be happy with that?
10 if we beat Celtic this week we are will in the race is that not what we were all desperate for
11 do you want a man in charge that conduct himself with a bit of class and dignity or will we go back to dogs barking at caravans
12 should we not all get 100% on board and support the new team and new manager
13 by all means criticise buy shouting for the manager to go is way off what we need just now
14.

No real fan would want Gerrard sacked that would be crazy right now.

One thing W K. Rangers are not a toy for young managers to cut their teeth on making obvious mistakes along the way, so when we lose to Livingston and drop points to a team rooted firmly at the bottom of the league that only had 10 men are we to sit back and put it down to inexperience? Gerrard has not won a single big game yet, not one, if you're happy with that then fine but surely you can understand why questions are being asked.

Good post mate
Far too much panic due to a bad December
It’s clear we just need 2-3 creative players with a bit more class than we have at the moment.
If we had this from the start of the season we could have been well ahead at the top.

Well said Jyf. Glasgow Rangers are not a toy. For some reason many on here are prepared to accept mediocrity. It's a disgrace.

I haven’t really seen many supporters call for his head and I do agree he needs time. He has been let down by some players and would expect to see a bit of movement both ways in January.

Honestly, do you guys think SG see's us as some 'TOY' to cut his teeth on, give the guy some credit for christ sake. He IS a rookie, learning on the job. This was never going to be an instant fix, we just don't have the financial clout, even if we had, there's no guarantee in football, that money means success.
A bit of patience is required, hopefully some additions to the squad that can enhance what we already have. It takes time. No one is accepting 'mediocrity' What we need to accept is, its a project that may take 2-3 seasons to achieve. If you can't get your head round that, then that's a shame,

Steve G is eventually going to be a super Manager but we need to get behind him, cause he didn, t inherited a great squad. DOF of football and the Board need to provide him with better players, but as we know they cost money. Watched Rangers for over 50 years and I am hurting like everybody else so unfortunately we need to be patient with our young Manager.

We wasted time and money on Warburton and Caixhina so give Stevie a break.

I think most supporters have had a moan but it’s not ever come into my mind to wanting Stevie g sacked he’s a rookie manager learning in sure he will be a winner in time just got to give him time even if tomoz result doesn’t go with us injuries not helped us see what January brings us sure there will be coming and goings.

I do agree that he should be given a bit more time but also feel he gets away with a bit more because of who he is which isn't right things need to improve big time.

Calling for SG head is utter rubbish. He has a team in transition and has improved it immensely spending 7m. Its clear to see improvements need to be made but he is at mercy of board in that regard. I have to be honest and say not positive against settled Tic side but we still have side to snatch win. This was something we couldn't say last season.

Jyf would you part with Gerrard right now? I don't think we should accept mediocrity either but I really think it would be detrimental to our club should Gerrard be removed at this stage. we need stability and time and a wee bit patience right now. I do think we are moving in the right direction as a club. bearing on mind I really don't think any one manager could come in and put us back where we belong in six months with seven million to spend.

Steven Gerrard has to have the full backing of both the fans and the board, I believe we can win things under his leadership but he needs better help from the board and scouting department. We have signed too many players that are not offering anything to us! We have 2 players that would get in celtics team and we will never win a league with that! Grezda has been a huge disappointment as has lafferty, coulibaly has went off the boil and katic is now fourth choice! We replaced windass with grezda and it hasn’t improved us! Although I agree in windass not being up to the standard we needed either! Need 4 or 5 quality additions in jan to mount any sort of challenge or pull away from the rest and build for next year, but we need to spend decent money to get what we need! Time to dig deep to back him.

Slipster, did we lose to livingston and the rest because we don't have the financial clout? Gerrard made tav the captain for some strange reason and has signed some very poor players and does not play the same side twice, he's experimenting with us, a good manager would quickly decide on his best side and more or less stick with the skeleton of that side adding players here and there. Tomorrow is a huge day for us and even if we get nothing out of it we must compete unlike the last time we met. If we dont, then, for me, the experiment is over.

I have no idea if ace. tic fans slate their team at every opportunity when things are not great (like this season) but at times I am embarrassed to be assocywith some of our sunshine supporters both on here and other forums and at matches when the boo boys are out in force.

We say we are better than them but we have a large number of people who attaches themselves to our club but shame us, the players, manager and club history.

A reality check urgently required - when it comes to the modern game, our history does not buy us success.
