Think we have to be careful about criticising the Scottish teams who got defeated in Europe.

If it wasn't for a horrible Scottish cup final performance we'd have been in Europe.

Any time a Rangers fan says something about the Scottish teams in Europe, we know the second it's said what the other mobs response is going to be, so why even bother.

As for throwing us out of the league. What did anyone think they were going to do? They made our fan base stronger by doing so and they knew the second it happened that their league was down the toilet for a few years at least but they were willing to pay that price.

The club has a chance at providing us with a Hollywood ending and showing to the world that we're the only team in Scotland. That mob would never recover if we won the league this season. Everyone at their club would have to answer for it and they are beyond terrified.

The problem is too many people would rather watch English, Spanish, German football etc than watch their local team. And add to that the fact as soon as a team has a decent player they are snapped up by the old firm or English teams to warm the bench, what chances do we have? As good as it is too see Celtic fail in Europe we need them to do well, fingers crossed Aberdeen do well too to at least help us out if/ when we qualify for European football.

That might have been true in the fairly recent past Albertz but look at the drivel we were having to watch. I'm really excited at the moment to see our team play proper football not your Mccoist kick and run rubbish or MCLEASH'S long ball sh1te. The way the team pass and move, retain possession and attack really is something special. I would have had no fear for us getting dropped in at the deal end against that Bronby mob the other night. I for 1 will be watching my local team play this year.

Rab u got put down for going into liquidation the only people to put u there was yourselfs. And as for the decline in Scottish football that has been going on for the last 10 years. The last time rangers were in Europe u got put out in qualifiers with a far superior team than u have now your point makes no sense apart from the usual story of blame everyone else.

Pokerman there was a vote as to what league we should be in. All this was done before the big tax case even went to trial. Rangers and Celtic are the only thing worth watching in Scottish Football, without one of them we are the Welsh or Irish, it's simple. If you can't see the decline since we left is greater by some margin than the decline in the 5 years previous that you are deluded. It is massive. Look at the players Rangers lost, the players Celtic lost and look at what they have been replaced with. We will all pay for the decision to send us into the footballing wilderness with an inferior product for the foreseeable future. It was avoidable if people had thought before acting. The Dumdee Utd chairman believing his fans that they would come watch the team only if they voted us down. They never, look where they ended up.
The team you refer to that got put out in the qualifiers had also made a European final the year before so that kind of blows your theory out the window. Scottish Football will take years to get back to that level. For what?
