Why all these signings?
We don't need that many for the league we are in.
We are bumping up our outgoings for no purpose.

We are building a team to advance through the leagues

do you suggest we build a team for SFL2, then next year build an entirely new team for SFL1 and then ship them out again and buy another squad for the SPL?

it's a big picture, not a series of small ones, why can't people understand this

Every other team builds a squad to match their ambitions, be that title contender, mid table finish or hoping to avoid relegation

our ambitions, and more importantly expectations, are quite clearly to get back to the very top, setting us quite clearly apart from every other team bar Celtic

11 SPL clubs started last season with the absolute uppermost expectation to finish 2nd, we're sitting 2 divisions below that right now and we are still the only club who can conceivably get back to challenging for first, simple as that

I'm not trying to take a shot at any of the other teams but the last 3 decades have shown this to be true

The only way we do that is to build a team that matches those ambitions, I'm fully aware that players like Daly and McCulloch etc aren't long term prospects but the experience they bring, coupled with the youth and the younger players being brought in will go a long way to making those ambitions real

That's why all these signings

EH because you want a young team and one that Gels because they become better together and they add value. We are building for the future. What do you suggest?. Sign nobody and when we get to the SPL we buy a new team?. don't be a muppet. Leave it to the pro's son and have a day off with your financial gripes, youve been out int he sun to long listening to Charlie Green's Hysteria, Rangers are financially sound, see here is the trust. Green settled the Oldco player debt jelavic, Wallace Etc then being the spin doctor he is he broke that down by so many months and then claimed we were losing 1 Million a month, nonsense! What followed this comment was his complaint about the need for Durrant & McDowell he was making out that coaching team and playing staff were hemoraging money, All spin and lies and so many muppets soaked it up. Stop all your paranoia and get your season ticket and back the club you care enough about to be on here to talk about rather than have a moan about. That goes for most of you. WATP not we were the people.

To be quite blunt about it, I think the signings were made early purely to ensure the sale of season tickets.

4.) 04 Jun 2013
We will buy better players as we move up the leauges players to replace lmc and jd etc any ambitios player looking for euro football will see the way rangers treat there players hero like icon s we won't have problems inticing players to ibrox and a lot of people know it onwards and upwards

5.) 04 Jun 2013
@3 are you suggesting the powers that be are manipulating the fans?
Surely not.
Being serious most of the fans having been stung numerous times will fall for it. The club knows there is little intelligence amongst the support.

@1 good post mate the nutcases that say just play all the weans and sign 18 to 21 year olds I would love to know who these young stars of the future are. Mcleod, mckay, aird and mitchell are decent with mcleod being the stand out but we need to think about arriving in the spl and competing not getting rode like an old bun with ict, dundee utd and that i'm well chuffed with the signings and the way we are trying to build a decent squad I just hope ally goes mad and plays 2 up front next season. jmgers

7.) 05 Jun 2013
@3 so what! you either buy a ticket or don't buy a ticket freedom of choice. I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT MY TEAM WINNING OR LOSING IN THE SPL OR THIRD DIVISION BECAUSE that's MY CHOICE

DIX, why do you think any team signs players m8, if not to tempt their fans to buy season tickets?
