Some discussion on here yesterday whether Patterson would be our first choice right back if he was still with us, not for me. take Tavs goals out off that team, and God knows what position we'd be in. I can't remember a defender that scores so many goals.

Can you remember when he was caught out of position so often to our detriment, far better now though under PC, would Patterson had similar probs defensively, all guesswork, take his goals and tav out ok, would we have shipped more or less with patterson. No way of knowing.

Tav can’t play for ever, getting slower by the month, yes he scores but u just need to find ways o replacing that.

Penalties scoring the easiest to replace, free kicks mb but arriving back post is exceptional.

John, valid points. replacing Tav won't be easy, although it will be a while yet before we've that problem.

Tav has been immense for Rangers with his goals, assists, and leadership.
Cherish the moments as it will be a mammoth task for any player to fill his boots in the future, but Sterling might be an option.
