Sick of hearing mcinnes name when it comes to talk of a new manager he simply isn’t good enough to be our manager either.

It’s clear PC is on borrowed time and he would be out the door if some numbnut hadn’t offered him an unmerited extension. Could do worse than McInnes on a short term deal and hopefully before the cup final next month!

I would rather keep
PC and I want him gone.

McInnes knows this league. He has shown himself capable of beating Celtic even with a team of free agents at Kilmarnock. Three times Kilmarnock beat Celtic last season.

McInnes would be a safe pair of hands. That is what this club needs in order to stabilise itself again on and off the pitch. We cannot afford to appoint someone who represents risk as the club can't afford for things to go wrong again.

I also think McInnes would be happy to work with what he has. I imagine there will be no money for any new manager to spend. Not only has Phil spent over £15m, but some of those moneys won't actually be paid until next summer. Cortes is a £4m obligation to buy NEXT summer. The club is literally committing future incomes based on the demands of the current manager - This is dangerous.

Rangers got into a lot of bother in the past when the sold off season ticket money, money made from the food stalls, etc. It interferes with the clubs ability to make moves moving forward. Maybe the new manager doesn't want Cortes, maybe he wants to buy his own £4m player next summer, but he won't have a choice now. We should not be operating the club in this way.

Also, if McInnes does come to Ibrox I hope he brings young Lewis Mayo with him. The fact that young kid was sold so we could bring back a 35 year old Balogun will never sit right with me. I would also take McCrorie back because I feel Butland will be gone in the near future. Butland will be sold to raise funds, or he will just have had enough of it here when it gets really toxic. He should have been sold in the last window when his value peaked. But in typical Rangers fashion that did not happen. 'He's one of our best players', 'we need him for next season', etc. Celtic sell their best players instantly when the right money comes along. When will this club, and its fans, learn?

So much is wrong right now. But first things first, let's get a manager in.

I've never known so many rangers fans who've basically given up and I know some who aren't going to the games now because the team are so bad for me changing the manager is the only option we have but I'm worried with the present board we will end up back to square 1 sooner than later. We little money to invest are hamstrung with ffp and as a club have no leaders the fans can rally behind long term we need someone to take over the club and put in place plans we can work towards. It's a desperate situation and we are losing fans especially younger ones by the week.

Why would he even take this poison chalice on a long term never mind a short term deal. If Mcinnrs is your ambition then there's no hope.

Couldn’t agree more @ClementHasOneFormation

Mayo is a class wee centre back in the league and is still young, McCrorie is also a solid goalkeeper and shown that when called upon at rangers. Also feel he’d look at getting more Scots within the squad which is something I think we are missing.

We need a manager who can get results in the league, someone who can atleast make us hard to beat.
The boy Vassel from Killie would be a massive improvement on Dessers and McInnes would tally more points than our current manager imo.
The boy Diomande is not for this league, McInnes would recognise that.
Dessers is pish, we all know that.
Yet they both play.

Clement many trophies did McInnes win against Celtic? I don’t want a manager who can beat them on the odd occasion that post of yours is just utter bs.

"Clement many trophies did McInnes win against Celtic? "

None. This is simple so take time to understand what I'm about to write next. Kilmarnock don't have any money. When McInnes first took over he brought in TEN free agents. The only person he spent money on was Lewis Mayo (and I would swap him for Balogun right now) . Despite signing so many free agents McInnes was able to eliminate Celtic from the League Cup at the very first hurdle. He also got a win at Parkhead - When was the last time Rangers did that?

Can Kilmarnock sustain a title challenge over the course of a full season? Of course not. Only a fool would think so. Is the evidence there that McInnes can operate on a shoestring budget and beat our biggest rivals? Yes. At Rangers, with better players and more resources, he will win more consistently. He could challenge for the title here.

McInnes is a better manager than Clement. He is a safe pair of hands. Your question is idiotic.

Don't care what any of your opinions are on mcinnes. He would not let us be in this state.

Clement are you new to the forum or have you changed username?

I mostly agree with what you’re saying.
Mcinnes I did think could do a job for us assn then I thought more on it and talked myself out of it now I’m on the fence Leaning more towards Mcinnes
But I think their maybe more to it than just changing manager
players I feel so t want to play for PC and I’m not convinced by Koppen at all
Could Mcinnes operate under Koppen I don’t see it to be honest?

Macinnes had a far bigger budget at Aberdeen and did nothing there nor had them playing well like the Current Sheep manager. He’s only done okay at Kilmarnock as he makes them hard to beat on a Horrific playing surface. More Boring style than PC.

I agree clement ?of course derek mcinnes with a bigger budget and better players at his disposal at rangers would be much better than clement and it's absolutely possible he'd make a much better fist of it against celtic ?Storm think just for a second eh. ?

Derek McInnes with the resources at rangers would have every chance of at least putting a challenge against Celtic ? He was never going to continually beat Celtic with Aberdeen and Kilmarnock was he ?think for god's sake.

Had McInnes only been manager of Killie? Nope don’t think so. He was manager of Aberdeen for years as well many trophies did he win then?

A win at Parkhead is that the benchmark for a rangers manager now? Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Tho mentioning budgets you could be right as Celtic is much more than ours so going by that logic
We shouldn’t be able to lay a glove on Celtic anyway ?.

Kilmarnock currently sit 10th. And that's with the huge advantage they have of their shambolic home park.

I understand all the points FOR getting him in but i'm very dubious.
I wouldn't expect great 'style of play' from him. And do we have the players to adopt the approach he uses now? High physicality and battling qualities, not so sure.

Clement. with better players I ask? Who is better at rangers who isn't as good at Killie right now?
Give me at least 5 players.
