Can confirm that we had scouts in linlithgow last night watching young Lennon Miller. Also confirm they were joined by at least 6 others.

Think our club is doing the right thing. Look at Jake hastie we signed from motherwell, the lad had a great run of games when he broke into the motherwell team but just wasnt good enough.

Why does it make no sense? It's not like it would have been our first time watching him.

Could be a number of reasons why we've watched him. Could have been there to see what sort of shape he came back to pre season from, see if he let himself go over the summer break and didn't look after his fitness.

Motherwell have priced the lad out of a move. He's done nothing in football yet but they want £4m. I’m sure an English club will pay that, and just stick him in their academy for years. Move to Rangers for sums of money like that when he has only ever scored one goal in his life? Never happening.

It’s Motherwell valuation that is the most puzzling aspect for me. Turnbull won Scotlands Young POTY, and scored and created in to double figures, yet Celtic got him for about £3m. I’m certain Kilmarnock would sell young David Watson for less than £4m and he actually won Scotland’s Young POTY, scored 5 goals, had a winner at Celtic Park, etc.

Lennon Miller has done less in football than Jake Hastie. When Rangers picked up Jake Hastie from Motherwell he had just broken through, scored 5 goals, and looked the part - But he ver lived up to the hype.

Is Lennon Miller worth £4m at this point? No way. As I said before, I think Motherwell know English clubs have money to burn and will spend this on project player for their academy. I see no way Rangers buy this player.

Fair play to Motherwell for trying to get some decent cash for a promising youngster - if he played in any other league, teams would easily pay that amount for a player with that potential. Sad truth is, we are reaching the stage where we are even priced-out of players in our own league.

Generic 100% disagree with you here mate, Miller will reach the top of the game unless injuries prevent it, sell for a fortune in a few years in my opinion, loan them Rice for a season, Rice would have been a better player if he'd stayed at Motherwell, needs game time, rate Rice very highly, maybe even King and Devine on loan, believe if we don't move for him we will regret it in a couple of seasons.

We have been aware of him for a very long time, we’ve had 25 games to watch him last season in competitive matches yet it becomes news when we go and watch him in a meaningless bounce game where there is a high possibility he won’t finish a half or used in a different role. If we wanted to let him know we want him being in the crowd is not the way to do it.

I think spurs have been heavily linked with £3m + bid and the lad would likely get £20k a week.

We need to make our move here.
I suspect a bid of £2.5-3m with add ons making £4m would do the trick.
Maybe even a 10% sell on the profit as I’d expect us to sell him for £20m+ in a few years .

Really want this lad in the door.

Scotty I couldn’t agree more that rice and miller could be the future for club and country for next 15 years mate.
Problem is we wouldn’t be able to hold onto the pair if they fulfil potential.
How great would it be with 2 young Scottish lads in the heart of our team though.

The boy has been scouted throughout the previous season, when scouts go to pre-season games or behind closed doors games, it is because they have been invited to do so. St Johnstone and now Queens Park have scouts that attend pre-season friendlies for Clubs in Stirling that don't even have a Pro-Youth pathway.

Even a 6year deal would be good but his wages would need reviewed every few year as what he gets the now won’t be what he’d be due in 1-2 years if he’s performing.

I’d play him in the 1st team, absolutely he’s top drawer.

Watching how he plays, his style not ability, he’s like a cross between Gerrard n zidane.

Is it not better to keep an eye on the lad to make sure it wasn't just a great one off season and is still playing to same standard.

If I was his agent I'd be telling hi. To move abroad rangers and celtic will not give him game time he needs you only need to look at the developments of mayo and king to see this king was considered miles ahead of mayo not the case now as mystar said game time is what's needed.

Motherwell probably wanting around 3m for the boy. I recon we could get him for much less if we offer him back on loan for the season or even 2 seasons.
Boys only 17 so ideally needs to be playing.

I think that’s a strategy we should be using more often with the young talents in our league! Nip in early with an honest price sweetened by loaning them back for a season or two . Possibly turn a profit without them even kicking a ball for us .

Ferguson, Doig, hickey all good examples of players we could’ve got on the cheap and loaned them back to continue their development for season or two before bigger clubs were interested.
