Nobody wanted Goldson when he was available for free a couple of years ago, so we hit the panic button and give him a 4 year contract on stupid wages! Another inexplicable decision from the club.

He had offers to go back down south, but he was only going if it meant he was going back home to the Midlands. Family settled in Glasgow with a new born, he wasn’t uprooting that for nothing.

Apparently he received no suitible offers at that time John, both in terms of money and anywhere near his new home. So it didn’t suit him.
So he signed for us.

Let’s hope 2 years later, he knows his qualities are fading, he just looks for a team near where he wants to live and not the chance of promotion and such things.

He had no suitable offers as they weren’t around the midlands area. He had offers matching what was on the table from us. He chose to say because his family was settled.

Actually feel for CG, had a poor season but the injury under GVB took away the little pace he had which is where his defensive problems really stem from.

He’s been a very good player for us.
Made more than a couple of errors but what should we expect for a club from Scotland who are not during his time even the no1 club in our league.
For wages paid and size of country and state of league he’s about as good as we could’ve hoped to attract.

He’s been a great servant to our club.
A good player.
It’s just time for him to go now. And he would do so with my gratitude from or all his efforts.
