Contract extension is supposedly due any day, he’s relocated all his belongs up to here and his girlfriend has moved up after completing Uni. Highly doubt he would do all that if he intended to leave this summer.

Rubbish from the turks and his new deal has been agreed and will be confirmed soon, that's what be heard regarding kent.

12 Jul 2022 19:18:27
I’d be surprised if he went to Turkey to be honest.

Gio his girlfriend went to uni in Glasgow.

Tbh we'd struggle to get 15m for him just looking at value we accepted for Aribo.

Correct stormtrooper it was a good job kent's girlfriend was down in england for but she's now got a similarly good job back up here ?.

9.) 12 Jul 2022
12 jul 2022 20:13:09
gf has returned from down south and they’ve settled back here, i think turkey would be a helluva jump.

10.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 20:28:42
No chance Kent going to Turkey. He will sign another contract. He can't hide his love for the famous❤️??.

11.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 20:30:05
More importantly they would find it difficult to take horses to Turkey.

12.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 20:42:37
To be factual here, Kent used to commute south because his gf got a job there AFTER she completed uni in Glasgow, and it was a hefty schlep for him. He was open to a move south which would have solved his logistics but he has never been unhappy at Ibrox, far from it. But she got a new job back up here, and owns horses up here too, so she's now settled back and both of them are quite content. Both know he could still get a massive mouth to England but that's crossing the bridge when you get to it. He's happy to sign a new deal with us, but it's a case of holding on in case a major PL club come in for him. If he signs, he's making the definitive decision to stay and probably abandon the PL for good - and that's a big call to make at his age, unlike Goldson who wasn't getting any offers at 29. Hope that clears it up a bit!

Rfcrb, absolutely accurate post to the letter. I’d add they have just bought a big house near the horses.

He has never been unhappy at rangers, only wanted to be near his lady.

14.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 21:27:34
I’d love Kent to add goals to his game his assist numbers are great and his work rate and effort cannot be doubted
I’d still rather sell him and replace him but that’s just my own oppinion, I take on board the vast majority want him to stay.
What I would say is if we can sell him with 2 years left on his contract in a year or 2 we could make a right good few quid.

15.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 21:38:38
So he's hanging on incase an EPL team come in and will sign if they don't. I'm hoping the boy has more commitment than that.

12 Jul 2022 22:07:48
Ryan Kent’s commitment shouldn’t ever be questioned. The things he did to get his move in the first place and what he done last summer shows that.

He’s a very family orientated person who has spent the majority of his time here basically living himself especially when his GF was working down south. She’s back up here and now both of them are settled up here he’ll sign a new contract without a doubt.

17.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 22:13:20
Trying to bring goldson down when Kent’s no even been accounted to sign a new deal is a bit stupid. Especially when no one from England is trying to sign Kent.

18.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 22:21:15
That is not what was said.

19.) 12 Jul 2022

Walter, hard to blame him - he's given us 3 years and never been anything other than professional and dignified. But for English players the Premier League is where they all want to be - both big signings I've seen lately, Aribo for Southampton and Dacour (is that his name) at Palace have put in a token praise of the club but then really milked the big deal of being in the PL. It's the league they want, and if Rangers were in the PL it wouldn't be an issue. And at Kent's age, given he's still fairly young, he's as good as permanently saying 'bye bye' to the PL and committing the best years of his career to the SPL. Which is a huge sacrifice. It's not about rejecting Rangers, he loves this club and the fans, it's about our league.

@John didn't know about the house! You're a fountain of info my friend.

21.) 12 Jul 2022
12 Jul 2022 23:47:14
All of 90 percent of our players will have teams after them after the run we had in Europe hopefully kent and alfrado sign new deals also hope Filip Helander signs as he only has 1 year left or we should move him on and try and get some cash back.

22.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 00:42:02
Sounds like great news on Kent let's hope Morelos is same ?.

23.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 06:50:43
John has Alfredo not bought a house here as well I thought I read that on here a while back?

24.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 07:19:38
Rfc I thought we'd lose 2 or 3 after getting to the EL final but according to gio the only int has been in Aribo and imo we've undersold him maybe teams don't rate the players or our value is too much even the bassey transfer has gone quiet who looked a cert to move on.

25.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 07:52:05
Storm yes he did last year. However we all know houses can be sold or rented out if a player moves on.

Though I’m told he loves where he stays.

13 Jul 2022 08:26:13
John heard that Alfie has been close to a new contract for weeks but it goes one step forward 2 steps back you heard anything mate?

27.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 08:54:16
I’m hearing three year deal with a very significant break clause on and sell on

Previously told break clause and sell on is the hold up.
Told the r moving much closer.

28.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 10:22:16
Hope Kent and Alfie sign . Have a niggle though as we are signing wingers perhaps things not so done and dusted re Kent. I hope Alfie stays, I posted the other week that Seville are not looking at him, as I stay in Seville area the guys I know say it’s Depay they are interested in, John25 here is a name to replace Alf should he go, Mathias Arezo plays with Granada, he very similar to Morelos what you think. He is well rated here in Spain….

29.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 10:28:53
Yeah John close to what I was told, was told also that Kent’s has been actually been straightforward and there’s never been any worry he wouldn’t sign one.

30.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 10:30:35
Rfcrb, I get around gain loads from obscure people.

U know only worry I have, kent jumping high fences.
Horses is also a dangerous hobby imo.

31.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 10:59:48
@bassey1 Your ability to selectively read bits and warp them into something else is impressive.

@john unfortunately we can't wrap our players in cotton wool - if they want to skydive in their spare time, that's up to them!

{Ed001's Note - actually a lot of dangerous activities are banned for footballers in their contracts. Skiing always used to be something they were unable to do or be in breach of contract. I know a friend of mine had that in his contract even though he had never been skiing nor had any intention of doing so, but it is an insurance thing.}

32.) 13 Jul 2022
13 Jul 2022 11:50:00
Rfcrb. I get that. Also agree with Ed

Also one off my grandkids has certain activities named in his contract, ie skiing, racing cars or motorcycle
Whilst other has nothing.
I think as Ed says it an insurance thing, but in reality u can be insured against anything

Don’t think I’d like to fall off a horse, I wish him well and hope he stays safe.
