Hearing this afternoon Mccrorie two year extension offered.
Out on loan for a year with st Johnstone and Derby being mentioned.

That would be a positive John. I like young McCrorie and personally would like him to stay. Much as I love McGregor I was not a fan of him being given a new contract and as you will know, I have reservations regarding McLaughlin being any more than a decent back up.

If he can get a year under his belt playing at a good level, then this is a good move. I still see him as McGregor's replacement given time and experience.

great move that john, we don’t want to be chasing our young keepers away, ross could be anything in a year or so.

I hope its true the boy deserves a chance to prove himself and imo going into a new season should be our no.2 behind Mclaughlan.

That would be ideal scenario get games under his belt, hopefully come back and fight to be no1 choice GK for us.

I agree tavs.

Yeah we need to be aiming to get him in first team in next two years if he ? plays well out on loan.

He didn't do so great at Livi, so if true this will be a make or break year for him. he's not a boy any more.

John, this would be a great move for McCrorie, provide experience and allow to develop further and prove good enough to return as our number 1.

Great news if young McCrorie signs an extension,
Makes sense that with McGregor staying for another year he goes on loan to get game time,
Antonio Colak looks a good proposition if we can get him over the line so fingers crossed.

Like most of us on here, i'd like to see robbie mccrorie go on to replace greegs as our new no.1?He's a good young goalkeeper and imo has the ability to be our no.1 for years to come ?His path is very similar to greegs path to eventually become rangers no.1?.

Makes sense to loan him out, would be a spl club tho.

Great news that will be good for him, do you think it will be a youth as 3rd choice i think yes? i think it will be. just hope he says yes to the contract.

Bar I agree make or break as far as we are concerned.

There would be no point extending him then dumping him out on loan. If that's true, then we're wasting his time and ours. He needs to step up to our shirt or leave permanently. Not fair on him.

Gvb not my info, too big a risk if McGregor and McLaughlin out at same time.

Completely disagree with you rfcrb1872.

They clearly see him as a potential number 1 but obviously he’s still relatively untested at this level. Went on loan to Livi a couple seasons ago, did ok. but Rangers can’t afford to throw him in as number 1 without playing a series of games at a top level again imo. with the extension if it does happen, McCrorie plays every week and gains the valuable experience needed especially at 24 years old and Rangers evaluate how he does. It benefits both parties and certainly doesn’t waste anyones time. I think it’s a great move for both.

Guarantee game time, would he be first pick in spfl Craig.

The only thing I would add is that if we are not planning to bring in a keeper then it would be a risk to let McCrorie leave on a full season loan. It only take McGregor to pick up an injury and McLaughlin to let in a few goals, or vice versa, and we will be struggling for a keeper.

Personally I would much rather that McCrorie was given the gloves for the first Team.

Berkshire what happens if McGregor McLaughlin both get C.V. b4 champions league or Celtic leaves us budinaukis or Cervantes
That’s why I believe ozer may be brought in. He then has chance to step up like mcrorie would when he returns.

Been told at Johnstone are looking at a different keeper just now, mccrorie not an option at the moment.

John, I would be happy if we sign Ozer, everything I read about him is that he is a quality keeper. I would be delighted if Ozer and McCrorie were the two keepers fighting it out for the first Team.
I do worry that it is one year too many for McGregor and I still believe that he is the better of him and McLaughlin who in reality hasn't really been tested that much either.
In terms of future keepers, I hear from family in Northern Ireland that the young lad we have signed from Glentoran is something special. Have you heard anything about him?
