Hi Fellow bears,

I believe Rangers and the board have a couple of big name signings up their sleeves or this may be wishful thinking lol. Does anyone think we are going to be doing some last min deals again!

Hopefully not i would like them in by the latest in a fortnight on Friday, any body not new contract sold, and would also sell Kamara as can't see him play 35 domestic games even subs this season for 10m Katic Simpson Middleton probs 2.5m at the top, rw cb striker, but i think GVB maybe have a bosmon or 2 up his sleeve.

Glen kamara is a class act.
We’re lucky to have him.
I don’t understand the clamour to sell him?

Can someone elaborate why?
Obviously if he wants to go fine, or won’t sign a deal etc but in terms of ability why are people so quick to want rid of Glen. ?
The most easily replaced player we have is joe aribo as we have young lowry looking like he’s ready to do that job and also have hagi to come back so we’re dsound in that sense.

If we lose kamara we need tk replace him as that leaves lundstrum then davo who m out a lot wanted tkk ok stay and an injury plagued jacko. Plus sands who hasn’t proven himself yet.
So why the rush tkk ok sell kamara cause I’ll tell u now we’d be lucky to replace him for £5m if gvb was even gave that much.
Kamara is a £15/ 20m mf all day long we’re lucky to have him.

Stevieg1 I agree with you but it's the player himself that's stated his desire to move on, but to give the guy all the credit and best wishes in future when he does go as he signed a new deal simply to thank Rangers when it would have been easier for him to leave on a free. He's basically guaranteed us a fee.

I'm with you 100% on Kamara, Stevie. He has been incredible for us and I would be delighted if he stays. If he wants to move on I'll wish him all the very best wherever he goes. Great lad and as Stevie G said, a joy to work with. Either way it is a win for us as he'll make us a right few quid if he moves on.

How much do we reckon we will actually get for kamara if he leaves this window guys?
I’ve a feeling he’ll stay if we get group stages.
Then leave for epl next summer.

What’s the thoughts guys on both?

Steveg1 i feel Kamara won't be a main cm for us this season, i like him alot, but if we have to sell someone i would pick him, unless Aribo Kent or Morelos don't sign new contracts, rw cb striker we need and if selling Kamara does all this i will be very happy.

Personally, I would prefer to see Kamara moving on and his wage used to offer new deals to Aribo, Morelos and Kent. Kamara is a tidy player but easily replaced in my opinion.

The way I see it is Gio will have Target 1-4 for each position he wants to strengthen. There are multiple factors that will dictate the budget.
Aribo, Kamara, Morelos, Bassey and Kent are all players who could be sold for big money then there is the Champions league qualification.
All these seriously affect finances 1 way or another.
Atm we are replacing Itten with players worth around same like Colak so it’s 1 in 1 out.
It doesn’t mean we don’t have any funds left for others I just think Gio is keeping powder dry while we try to negotiate new deals on 3 of our 1st team players to see who needs to be replaced and that will dictate budget.
Our squad is very strong already you don’t get to a Euro final last month when it’s not and that was minus our top striker or even 2nd best.
Everyone has had a well deserved holiday now teams are starting to return to pre season it’s the next few weeks where squads are assessed and who needs what.
We will freshen and strengthen in due course….

Glasgow, I am not as confident as you that we have a very strong squad. When Roofe and Morelos were out injured at the end of last season we had nothing in reserve. We don't have a quality right winger and haven't had for a number of years. The most important thing for me is that we secure Morelos, Kent and ideally Aribo, on new deals. That would have been my priority ahead of McGregor and Davis who I simply don't see as anything other than a bit park player this coming season.
I feel we can afford to Sell Aribo because I am confident that young Lowry can do a job but other than Lundsrtam, (who took six months to settle in), we have seen nothing from the other signings in January and last summer that suggests to me that any of them are top quality first team players.

I would still like to see us sign a quality winger and a quality box to box midfield player. I believe that there are good youngsters up and coming but there might be a three or four year gap before some of these boys are ready so for me we can afford to bring in a couple of players in their late 20's, (there are still some quality Bosmans out there), that could walk into our first team and given our success in Europe last year and the funds received from the sale of Patterson and the compensation for Gerrard I have to believe that the funds are available.
It would not be wise to wait and see if we get into the Champions League before we spend money, we tried that last year and it didn't work!
