FRASER54 - you are spot on mate. there is no value for foreign investors in taking a large share or takeover of Rangers.
It would cost them less than a 3rd string left back in england to buy out our wonderful club. with next to no return, in fact exepected to plough more money in every year, in the hope we have the odd good run in Europe.
Better investing in whisky - great returns ;-)

Am I not right in saying we already have Far Eastern investors? do we not have a a gentleman from HongKong who invested in fact is it not him and his wife who put the money into the ladies team so maybe there is some truth.

Under normal circumstances, if there was genuine interest in a buy out the share price would reflect it - and it's pretty static.

So assume it's not something that's real, or if it is, it's at the very early stages - in which case I'd be surprised if it was common knowledge.

Frazer54, there would be no financial benefit to an investor yes that's true but there are other reasons to invest such as PR, Advertising and tax avoidance. How much money does Leipzig make red bull? I don't really know but I'd wager not very much in their grand scheme. The returns for RB are that they have a presence in the European stage (x 2 if you include Salzburg. )

frazier, nobody expect to make money investing in football, the elite companies who own the likes of red bull etc already making billions every year, they are simply spreading they’re name and associating it with a major sport name, football clubs need money poured int them, not taken out, not just rangers, all of them,

{Ed001's Note - tell that to the Glazers Tom.}
