I think Simpson is very likely to leave plus either Katic or Helander but not both. If report is true that Balagun is getting year extension and Goldson committed with Souter just arriving I think Helander will stay.

Don’t see the point unless going to play 3 at the back. Katic and Simpson out would leave us with goldson, souttar, helander, Bassey and king. Where does balogun fit in? King needs to start playing more regular in my opinion. and lundstram and sands can also fit in to a back 3. Like him but time to move on I think.

Monty I think Balogun for another year will be great for young King. A lot of hype and expectations on the lad which I have no doubt he will love up to but offers him that wee bit more protection to gradually increase game time with solid partners. Could play with 3 out of the 4 and be talked through the game.

Plus Balogun is a better option than Helander. Lacks far too much pace and especially now with yet another injury to recover from unlike Davie Weir Helander doesn’t gain that extra yard of pace he lacks with positioning.

Bassey motm at cb in in europa league final. Other than helander we have no other left footed cb. Adds balance to the defence. I like him at left back as well but he’s turned into an animal at centre half.

Tango that's nonsense bassey isn't only a lb, remember the europa final, gio could easily off played balogun at cb and bassey at lb, but he didn't he played borna, so in gios eyes bornas a better lb than balogun is cb, my point is lots of players can play numerous positions, mind, broadfoot, papac, konterman, daily, Jig, Ricksen, van bronckhorst the kiss is endless, Goldson, helander, bassey, souttar all better cbs than balogun, king should have his place. Yep balogun has had some outstanding performances but I remember more bombscares than man of match performances, I'd be very surprised if he's in the mix next season.

If we can find a buyer then I would sell Helander. He is far too injury prone. I can't imagine that he has played many games in the season just past. We should look to cut our losses.

Bassey is far better bombing foward on the wing and sure he would rather play left back as he seems to enjoy going foward more sure he does a job at centre back but lb is his natural position so how’s it nonsense.

My fear is Souttar and Helander have bad records with injury that’s why I would give Balagun an extension but Simpson plus Katic and/ or Helander would prob be best solution as I forgot about emergence of young King.

That’s him been released. Helander going no where. Everyone goes on about his pace but his positioning is that good he rarely gets caught out with pace. Yes he’s had his injuries but so has Katic and some want to give him a chance….
