QPR have asked aston villa for permission to speak to first team coach michael beale about becoming their new manager I think that would be a fantastic appointment for QPR, if they can convince him to leave villa .

Without Beale Gerrard would be absolutely screwed - I'd be stunned if he let's him go to QPR.

If Beale wants to go gerrard and villa don’t really have a choice.

I would love to see how Beale would do with his own Team. Whether QPR would be the right team I just don't know.

Berkshire that would be his gamble. I feel he would need to take them to at least playoffs.

I like many bears, have all the time in the world for michael beale and he certainly loves our club I'm delighted gio is our manager but hand on heart my first choice when i knew gerrard was leaving, was michael beale He has a fantastic coaching brain and this guy actually has written coaching manuals and takes coaching classes If indeed he does become the new manager of QPR, i will be watching closely who he's doing and i most certainly wish him all the very best of luck in the world .

Wish him all the best. Will be very interesting to see how he does. Being a manager is a totally different ask and whilst he most definitely seems to have a great tactical brain, it will be really interesting to see how if he has the leadership and motivational skills to make it work.

i think the job is a world away from my time, think a manager needs people who do the coaching and staffing side of things, alex ferguson was never the greatest coach as far as i believe but he surrounded himself with knowledge and experience, that’s the tricky part, getting the right people around you

i think maybe too many nowadays surround themselves with their pals, and stick with those mates sometimes too long and to the detriment of they’re own reputation and careers, john you may know how beale was the main man coaching wise at ibrox, coop knew too, and so will plenty inside the game, it’s what club takes that opportunity to bring in a young fantastic coach and give him time to become great, i think that will happen for beale.

So when we were stubborn and only played one way with the same formation regardless of results was that Beale or Gerrard? Good coaches don’t necessarily make good managers. Wish him well if he does go on to be a manager but I’m glad we have gio and didn’t go for Beale. Gio got further in europa in 6 month than they did in 3.5 years. Gio has proven he is good at tactics and formation, doesn’t need a right hand man to do it for him.
