Just after hearing that our terrific, evergreen midfielder steven davis is possibly going to st. mirren as a player/ coach, at the end of the season 🤔John25,have you heard anything on this mate 🤔or has any other bear heard this for that matter 🤔.

I'll answer when you stop namedropping John as the be all ane end all Scoobs. Just kidding haven't heard anything about this one mate 😂.

Lol Ger. only hear he probably won’t get a deal at us.

3.) 09 Mar 2022
09 Mar 2022 07:59:08
That would make sense given his lack of game time under Gio mate, think he'll become a fantastic valuable coach somewhere though when he hangs up his boots.

4.) 09 Mar 2022
09 Mar 2022 08:21:23
I think davo an greegs will retire at end of the season and probarly do coaching somewhere unless greegs wants to go another year helping kevin thomson get up the leagues at kelty.

5.) 09 Mar 2022
09 Mar 2022 18:20:21
Would try and keep Alan as a goal keeper coach think the years have caught up to him but think Davis could easily go a player coaching role at Kelly and they would be in league 1 by that point think Davis could still play 20/ 30 games a year at that level and he’s definitely a professional and don’t think he had a big ego either so think he would fit in easy enough.

6.) 10 Mar 2022
10 Mar 2022 09:17:07
I’d like to see Greegs and Davis remain at our club and go through the process of learning the coaching game and progression within.

7.) 10 Mar 2022
10 Mar 2022 10:12:39
Scotty better going away and learning the job, can’t employ everyone.

8.) 10 Mar 2022
10 Mar 2022 17:26:24
I hear you mate but these 2 have rangers in their blood and being involved in a coaching role below the 1st team squad should most definitely be considered.

9.) 10 Mar 2022
10 Mar 2022 19:27:51
RFC

why keep greegs as goalkeeping coach? As far as coaching he's a desert and obvious Jim Stewart currently doing a great job. I know Stewart. he's a god, true ger, untouchable.

10.) 10 Mar 2022
10 Mar 2022 20:48:26
After talking up Stewart at least Greegs could be penalty coach or goalie god or something. i'm wetting myself here. What a match.

11.) 10 Mar 2022
10 Mar 2022 21:11:32
Stewart is a fair age about time he took on a apprentice and could not think of any one better than Greegs.

12.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 11:16:55
Sorry mbw and rfc92 but Jim Stewart is no longer a coach a the club it’s his son Colin and he’s hardly getting on a bit at the age of 42 .

13.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 11:19:37
I think Colin Stewart (son of Jim) is the current goalkeeping coach and I imagine he's likely to be a good bit younger than his dad.

14.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 19:39:30
😂 my bad he’s nearly ages with sh##ger then.

15.) 13 Mar 2022
13 Mar 2022 07:12:16
Scotty, McGregor has been brilliant for us over both spells and probably our best keeper of the 21st century with Klos a close second, but to say he has Rangers in his blood i disagree…if he did he would never have left in the way he did previously🤷🏻‍♂️.

16.) 13 Mar 2022
13 Mar 2022 08:08:56
On another note Davo should go with our blessing the ultimate pro and a great servant to the club over both spells. Someone the youngsters should look up to and model themselves on, sheer class👏🏻.

17.) 13 Mar 2022
13 Mar 2022 11:43:02
Ac you give McGregor stick, but say Davis is ok. He also walked out for peanuts
I have no issue what they done but can’t say one ok and the other not.

18.) 13 Mar 2022
13 Mar 2022 17:15:06
John25 apologies if i’m wrong but did Davis not go out of his way to make sure we received a fee? Unlike McGregor and Naismith etc.

19.) 13 Mar 2022
13 Mar 2022 19:53:59
Not really, he left for paltry sum of 800k when he was valued at 5 million.
He could have hung on and got us more imo. But it is history and they all believed they were correct.
We move on.
At end of day they all looked after their families, that’s hard to criticise.

20.) 13 Mar 2022
13 Mar 2022 21:00:52
Both have been great players for us but would say Allan is going to be harder to replace.

21.) 14 Mar 2022
14 Mar 2022 13:39:46
I disagree John Davis did go out of his way to make sure we got some kind of fee! We were never going to get full market value due to the mess we were in! Steven Naismith and Allan Mcgregor never even had family’s at the time but Davis did! But still done something for the club, not many others can say that and I think it’s worth something!

22.) 14 Mar 2022
14 Mar 2022 18:40:07
Both were married.

23.) 14 Mar 2022
14 Mar 2022 19:01:15
The player value would not have mattered I ask why would anyone trust signing a new deal under green and white. Would they honour what players asked for prob not so for me no issue with shagger Davis Naismith or any of them. As far as McGregor is concerned I think he will stay as a player coach but just move to no2 or no3 as he would qualify for our euro squad as youth trained. Would make no sense to let him leave especially as he is still the best keeper In the league.

24.) 14 Mar 2022
14 Mar 2022 19:57:05
Davis did go out his way to get the club cash the rest never Davis was the only player that come out of that situation ok so I understand when someone says Davis is ok the other wasn’t as it’s not hard to understand.

25.) 15 Mar 2022
15 Mar 2022 03:42:12
So do you not think McGregor has done enough for Rangers? To me the transfer fee thing is stupid any monies earned would have been going towards any debts outside of football anyway. that's the purpose of liquidating is it not. People should get over it stop looking to blame players green white and Murray are the ones to blame.

26.) 15 Mar 2022
15 Mar 2022 10:23:49
Go for all about opinions.

27.) 15 Mar 2022
15 Mar 2022 14:57:52
Davis done everything he could to ensure money was exchanged, anyway that's a side debate.

28.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 14:17:08
Mcgregor was not married. Never married leah shevlin called wedding off days before wedding. If they stayed they woukd have still been on decent money. As i recall ian black was getting 10k a week.

29.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 19:23:48
Cool Paul, they would have been on ok money as u say.

30.) 22 Mar 2022
22 Mar 2022 13:14:48
John, you're factually off with some of this. Davis refused to sign for Southampton till they'd paid SOMETHING to Rangers. That sum was £800K. His agent has confirmed that to be the case. And McGregor was married in 2012? He only got married 2 years ago!

31.) 22 Mar 2022
22 Mar 2022 15:37:21
Rfcrb. We never got market value for Davis.

Re McGregor ok, bit he lived with Leah shelving for years as a couple

I entitled to my view.

32.) 23 Mar 2022
22 Mar 2022 23:41:14
Footballers have a short career. I wouldn’t criticise them for not wanting to spend 4yrs of that career in the lower leagues, with no guarantee the club would survive, on way less wages than they could command elsewhere. Sone fans can’t understand why they would leave but if it was their career and lives….

33.) 23 Mar 2022
23 Mar 2022 14:49:03
Alloa I have no issue re players leaving, what my issue is fans treat them differently.

34.) 23 Mar 2022
23 Mar 2022 20:10:50
Yes I’m with you on that John.
