John25 what have you heard regarding Goldson and Barasic ? I haven't heard anything mate.

Wrote last year. They simply don’t talk after training ground incident. There was a major fallout due to Barisic not being committed to team.
If you watc some games they do not communicate on pitch.

I’m ok with players disliking each other as that’s a part of any relationship in life, Cole and Sherringham never spoke for years, but on the park they demanded professionalism and worked together for the team. If these two are not talking and it’s transcending onto the pitch, then they’re both at fault and can’t be trusted. So both should sit out IMO.

Herewego, that's my info too - Goldson and Katic had a falling out a long time ago, and Barisic took his countryman's side. Either way, Goldson has an axe to grind with the pair of them.

@john squad unity for a group of around 30 men is rare. There will always be cliques, fallouts, testy relationships. The job of the boss is to manage those and get the best out of the players despite it. Only time I can remember a squad all being in harmony was Walter's 9IAR. It really was drink together win together.

Is that right Herewego55? I would have thought Katic would have been big enough to look after himself, and not take crap off of anyone! There is obviously a problem, and by all accounts, it's gotten worse over time.
I did hear a rumour about Borna, but like all rumours, I take things like this with a pinch of salt. Even If the rumour was to be true, I would hope it would have nothing to do with the fall out. And before anyone starts, I don't believe what I heard, and in no way am I saying there's any substance to this.

When this was said I raised the issue that this could be a big problem. Many said its not an issue atall, many teams have players who didn't get on n stated arsenal players who had previous issues n said its common in squads n nothing to worry about. I disagreed n believe it has a big impact, if everyone is on the same wave length, pulling in the same direction. Willing to put their life on the line for each other. That's the sign of real team unity. A dressing room needs harmony, not kleeks or atmospheres u can cut with a knife or divided interests. They play for us, the fans who pay their wages. So should at least be able to put their egos to the side and put the people paying their wages first.

Barasic should have been sold when his stock was high and after 55. He’s now not guaranteed a jersey at LB with us or with his country. Paterson sale made fantastic business sense, however, moving on Tav and Borna would have aswel.

Of course it impacts our performance. If you have 2 defenders who won't communicate it will cause mistakes. If this is true then it might explain a lot this season. We have been rank at the back. If true I would sell borna and give goldson a new contract. Even at amateur level 2 defenders not talking on the park causes problems. I'd be telling them straight on the park your a team you communicate off it do what you please but your grown men get a grip.

Think I have opened my eyes when it comes to Wilson recruitment could never see what people moaned about until today. I had suspicion when he signed Ramsay and diallo it only happened because of hagi injury otherwise we would have signed nobody but my main realisation came when I looked back at the team that beat Celtic 2-1 at parkhead katic goal . lineup was shagger Tav goldson katic barasic kamara Davis jack Kent Morelos aribo seeing how long ago that was and how we have not really added anyone to starting pool only the squad no wonder we are struggling we are stale no quality has been brought in only one I can think of is hagi rest would struggle to get in team.

I was a big Katic fan I remember hope people realise goldson is just a Merc and trouble maker he always blames others most over rated defender we've ever had can't clear set pieces from own box can't command no pace and he's a quitter as we all know and he doesn't even want to sign contract Gerrard at the time took goldsons side as he's English and we had a lot of English players also barisics form came good when him and katic played together started to dip same time Gerrard alienated him by putting his friend katic out on loan. We should have brought katic back in January if we were that desperate for a defender can't tell me souttar or Shirley better defender than katic .
