John25 - I seen this rumour on FB saying Leeds will activate Ryan Kents release fee of £14m. Have you heard anything on this?

Also we are in for another youngster Mateusz Zukowski from Lechia Gdansk who can play cm or rb, seems a strange one but suppose it may depend on outgoings.

We need to remember that Liverpool inserted a substantial sell on Clause so selling him for £14m wouldn't be that great a deal. It would only leave us with about £4m which is no where near what it would cost to bring in a quality replacement that would walk straight into our first eleven.

Some good points guys, personally I don't see there being a £14m release hence why I was asking someone more in the know. If I remember correctly Liverpool have either 30 or 40% sell on.

I say a strange one as we just brought in someone who plays those same positions in Sands. Original poster has said since his original post that we have made an offer for Zukowski.

28m in kitty but 25m losses from last year and 7.5m put in by directors to see us till end of season so we don't have a large pot of money what we had we've spent and fans need to get real we need to get back to living within our means it doesn't mean spending 5 or 6m on 1 player those days are gone until we can generate cash from Champions league.

Hi guys, was at the game yesterday with the wife and kids in the County end as it was easier to get 4 tickets in there being local. Kent looked disinterested the whole game, was as if his head was elsewhere. Stig- I get what you are saying but surely Rangers are a bigger pull with playing in Europe and a bigger fan base, we will probably pay him more also. Not sure what they would say about playing time in the negotiations as Tav has that position nailed down so I agree with what you are saying regards playing time, but it's a new challenge for the boy if he takes it on, it appears his natural position is RB but can play MF also so a replacement for Patterson by the looks of it.

Apologies John, I was thinking that it was 20% of total transfer fee received and then I was deducting that from what we paid for Kent so looking at profit rather than full funds. I will be happy if Kent goes and we bring in a quality attacking midfield player!
