Was talking to someone with reliable Everton connection, inner circle, they told me Everton are disappointed not to get Patterson and that they didn't expect us to stand by our valuation. There words were Wilson, Gerrard and the board want EPL money for Patterson.
Contacted my Rangers connection and told me dependant on fitness we are going to try both Tav and Patterson on the right while hagi is isolating. Possibly tomorrow if both fit. If it doesn't work with both then we will keep Patterson as they think we will get good money for Tav just now but nothing compared to the fee we will get for Patterson. We have a realistic expectation to smash the current Scottish record which I think was Tierney at 25 million. Our board believe Patterson is special and want top dollar.

I like Paterson but he hadn’t achieved anywhere near what Tierney had prior to £25m sake to Arsenal.
I estimate Rangers would of valued him at closer to £15m and would probably have sold him if Everton got near that figure.
Not saying wee man won’t be worth £25m plus in future years but he isn’t atm.

Not really doubting you, but I'm sure Gerrard tactics and game plans are limited to the coaching staff mate and not broadcast all around the employees at ibrox.

I love Patterson and think he can be worth the same as Tierney. However, Tierney was 1st choice LB and proved himself at European level standing out as a top performer even when Celtic were getting battered. Patterson can't get get a start ahead of Tav. If he gets the game time he deserves then maybe his valuation can get up there.
