About tav. It’s not changed. He’s had a great season but I personally think that having Patterson waiting in the wing so to speak he wouldn’t be that much of a loss to us than alfy. If we could get 12m plus for him I would take it.

He’s the easiest hit to take so if we had to lose anyone with a value it would be hagi, as he wouldn’t affect our starting 11, and tav as we already have a quality replacement. However I don’t want to lose any of the 2.

Spurs aren’t a top side, they definitely weren’t when they signed Hutton. Arsenal definitely aren’t a top side. They’re a shell of a club atm mate. And when Chelsea signed Laudrup they weren’t a top club either.
Now the top clubs I refer to are Man City Man Utd and chelsea.

Easy to replace? Not for me - Paterson is great but still has a lot to prove over a long season.

Also liverpool are a top club who wouldn’t sign a player from rangers or Celtic. It’s been proven with van dijk they were looking at him and decided against it then had to fork out £75m 2 years later. Tierney could walk into any team in the epl IMO. Apart from liverpool but I don’t think Robertson is any better than him I’d put them in an equal par.
So liverpool city Utd and chelsea. That’s the elite in England.
Arsenal are past it and going backwards. West Ham villa Everton all mid table sides so not top clubs.
Leicester are an in between. They are punching and I think they would sign old firm players if good enough but there not an elite club.
As for a right back, if we sold tav we’d sign a back up to Patterson, likely an older more experienced pro.

Broxxi maxwell was on loan at queen of the south last season and by all accounts was outstanding for them. He keeps doig out the Scotland team, dunno if it’s 19s or 21s. But I’ve read he plays instead of doig so must be doing something right. I think we could loan him out again for 6 months tk see if Bassey can start offering us something more. If not I’d get bring maxwell back and get rid of Bassey.
