Apparently he’s done well at Harrogate but it’s not really a challenging level compared to where we need to be. I’ve not seen enough of him to have an honest oppinion tbf so leave it to the experts.

I’d release on a free with a 50% sell on rather than loan out.
If he goes to decent side and gets sold for £1m plus we will end up with a decent fee.
Provided he isn’t in out long terms plans obviously.

The Glasgow ranger, what do you mean release with a 50% sell on? Releasing a player means that he cuts all ties and is free to sign for any club, you can't release someone but say 'we have a 50% sell on clause, once you leave your new club we'll get half of the money they recieved for you'😂.

I was meaning allow him to leave for Free or minimal fee with huge sell on clause inserted.
Makes him more attractive to lower end Championship clubs or top league 1s.
Then if he moves on we get a decent fee rather than loan him out for another season with new contract costing us a small sign on and majority of his wages to more than likely let him leave at end of new contract anyway.
If the club really rate him then fair enough extend contract but if he’s just a decent young player then I’d negotiate letting him leave for free with sell on clause.
