If I was an agent and I was negotiating a potential deal with another club for my client would I leak that my client would like an extended contract with his existing club?

If a new club thought they might have to pay a bigger transfer fee later would they offer a better package to entice him now?

Of course I might be more cynical than most - Kent might be happy where he is and just want an extra few grand to stay.

He might have no interest in doubling or tripling his salary by playing in the EPL.

Oh there no doubt if a prem team comes in with 20m wand a big salary he’s off doesn’t matter how much he likes it at Rangers. Just hope that doesn’t happen.
