I posted this morning asking our fellow bears on here if we would want chelsea midfielder billy gilmour back at rangers in a loan deal 🤔
Its reporting in the sun online tonight, that rangers are indeed interested and looking at the possibility of signing billy gilmour in a loan deal in january 🤔 He's a superb young midfielder there's no getting away from that guys! 👌.

where ishe going to fit in? does this mean we are losing somebody?

The boss must have read your post SGL, mate.
As I stated, I think he's a cracking wee player, but unless we're selling a regular starter, who do we drop?
I can't see Chelsea letting him go on loan to start on the bench? If he does come, and he's been guaranteed a start, is that not a slap in the face to whoever gets dropped to accommodate?
Also, wee Gilmour gets more time on the ball in the EPL than what he'll get up here - I can just imagine some of the tackles flying in on the boy!

Braingers fan are you having a laugh
Gilmore is twice the player arfield is or hagi.

I know it's not always down to them, but I'd be very surprised if any players wanted to leave given we are on the cusp on a historic season.

6counties i never made any comparison to arfield or hagi? please don't make assumptions like that? to assume is wrong . i see you have posted " your having a laugh" before . seems to be a favourite of yours . read mt reply again and take off the blinkers mate . i think we all know you don't think much of arfield so you keep saying . but don't drag others into when they haven't even mentioned his name.

6counties, Gilmour and Arfield are two very different players. If you were to drop Arfield for Gilmour then we would lose a bit of our attacking edge and a goal threat from our team. We would end up passing it between our midfield, Gilmour sits in front of the play, Arfield makes runs in behind the play. 👍.

Drop Arfield who is playing out of his skin to accommodate a 6 month loan player? Are you having a laugh 6counties?

Thank god it's a rumours page guys .

No, absolutely not. Club should be developing its own players. Woeful.

It was reported yesterday also mate.

6counties, plain and simple scotty arfield is a terrific, attacking, very clever midfielder pal👌.

Bringing inGilmour on loan would be to replace Stewart imo as we are short on homegrown talent for Europe squad.

Don’t know how often he would play more often than Stewart 😀.

Lampard would want Gilmour to play games. Will not send him to sit on the bench.

14.) 09 Dec 2020
09 Dec 2020 15:05:46
No a chance he would go out on loan to sit on the bench!

Guys 6counties never really answers a question but regularly shows virtually no understanding of our players, where they play or how. He is just a wind up merchant.

He's crap at that too, John!

Just want to say how good is our midfield at this point that Somone that plays at Chelsea would not walk into our midfield.

18.) 09 Dec 2020
09 Dec 2020 17:22:51
Chelsea won't let him go on loan, he will have a big part to play there now he's fit. Lampard said as much last night 👍.

Just my opinion lads but genuinely believe we have a settled and for the most part happy squad, everyone understands and knows their job within the squad and whilst Gilmour is a top young talent at this moment in time I can't see where he would fit in or who he would replace as we have so many different options.

Been around most of the week, don’t see it myself, just usual nonsense, Rangers certainly don’t need a midfielder unless of course one or two were definitely going in January which would be a shock, but possible, Arfield is invaluable atm and is a fantastic player.

21.) 09 Dec 2020
09 Dec 2020 17:45:25
I wouldn’t take him on loan to be honest no need for him and where would we fit him in.

I think he is a great player and going to be one of the best ever Scottish players but just no room for him.

I don’t even think he will go on loan to be honest.

22.) 09 Dec 2020
09 Dec 2020 17:57:40
Not for me I'm afraid and wouldn't make sense for gilmour to come back is it really a step forward to potentially be on the bench at Rangers. Think we will go looking for another Morelos or Aribo type deal for sell on later.

23.) 09 Dec 2020
09 Dec 2020 18:32:40
I would no way welcome gilmour back to gers not because he has moved to progress his career but because he has no future at rangers. We should only take players on loan if they possibly have a future with us as in signing. What is the point in developong a chelsea player at the expense of one of our own. that's my opinion.

Agree broxx. I’d rather Kelly back, when league over give him games.

25.) 09 Dec 2020

Don’t worry Coops, no chance of Gilmour coming back.

If Gilmour is available on loan till end of season then yes 100% bring this kid back. It’s a no brainier and some of the bs written above is embarrassing. The lad made the right choice and his 1st team performances back that up.
