I have just heard that Michael Gardyne is being investigated by the SFA compliance officer for calling Buff a 'faggot'. Is this correct?

It is meant to be a homophobic slur that he said.

If that is the word used and the ref deemed it only a yellow card offence and the county manager knows that's what was said (he commented the ref had told him) then they both need hammered big time along with the player.

I watched kettlewell being interviewed and he clearly said the ref told him gardyne was booked for dissent, nothing more.

Snell
That's garbage. for 1 ref booked him for the challenge. Kettlewell also never said that but said he he will find out from the player what was said lol. some lies you spout for god sake.

Daviedouglas sorry fella but before you come on and call other peoples posts garbage then should maybe check first. The ref booked VIGURS for the challenge as that was who made the challenge

Gardyne was booked for " inappropriate language"

Cheers JBF.

And if you bother to listen to him after match he said the ref told him what was said and they will investigate with the player to see if that matches up.

Look up the BBC if you need any clarification. Managers do more than one post match interview Tom mate. Don't be so quick to come on and shoot folk down.

daviedouglas! "That's garbage"?
No, it's not, it's a fact!
Always best to check your facts before having a pop at someone on here or it will come back and bite your backside.
When it comes to spouting garbage, I would say a good example of that was the poster who proposed we loan Morelos out to an EPL club and insert a 50 million buy out clause into the agreement. I can't remember who it was, but maybe you do? Now, that's garbage!

Snell Stevie G said the ref told him he didn’t hear what the player said.

So you calling stevie G a liar or kettlewell?

I'm not calling anyone a liar mate.

Like I said, read the comments on BBC from Kettlewell.

Context is every thing the amount of Times that n get up ya p**f will be used in football will be loads it’s used lots n never really meant to offend I agree there is no place for it in professional football but the world is going to pc if that’s what was said then I think a yellow is fair.

{Ed001's Note - seriously?? Too PC because they object to a highly offensive and derogatory term? Then people wonder why no footballer will admit to being gay.}

Watch the interview from stevie G he said the ref told him he didn’t hear what was said so one of them must be lying.

I’m certainly not calling anyone here a “ liar, I’m just saying kettlewell said on the pitch that gardyne was booked for dissent and Gerard said the ref told him he didn’t know what was said . That’s wh They said.

No worries Tom, like I said there are several interviews after a game so might have seen different ones. It's mainly the 50 million wonder boy that needs to check facts before jumping in with both feet.

KJ mate what interview was that with Stevie G? I saw the sky sports one where he said he didn't hear but didn't mention the ref not hearing. Maybe another one he has done?

Although someone in professional football using the term didn't see/ hear to avoid a situation wouldn't be a first mate would it 🤣.

Snell, how does me saying what I seen in a pitchside interview “ shooting “ anyome down mate, the manager clearly said the ref booked him for dissent and didn’t know wwhat haws said but he would ask the player for honesty, is it ok for me to say what I seen with my own eyes?

16.) 08 Dec 2020
08 Dec 2020 19:10:11
Aye fair enough Tom I apologise. I was only reporting what I saw, with my own eyes too and felt it was being dismissed.

Posted the link to the article I saw which clears up any doubt from my end, so let's call it quits and move on. Not saying you didn't see what you said you did mate 👍.

No problem snell, and obviously you’re correct in managers saying something pitch side and then a different version later, , neither manager said on the pitch that the ref knew what was said, a prepared statement is often a changed version, cheers mate.

Grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter really.
