We already know what he can offer to Motherwell. The is about taking Hastie out of his comfort zone and and seeing how he adapts to a new systems and playing style. Good move imo.

Stewartyblue - then play the guy! he has been training in this 'new' system and style daily for the past 3 months
If he hasn't got a grip by now - he will be the next Docherty.

Bar72 I'm not talking about our systems/ style. I'm talking about Rotherhams as we already know what he offered Motherwell
I rate Hastie as a good prospect. The big prob for him is the way we play, as we normally only go with one winger and an AM so the likes of ojo, Anfield and Stewart are ahead of him in his position. SG will play Kent, Jones or Barker on the left.
So game time will be limited for him, better he developes against better teams than Hamilton ect bud.

Only my opinion.
