I would doubt it w15. I am a big fan of mw but I really don't think he has done enough to warrant a epl job.

Totally agree hooly78. I personally think warburton is a genius but is still learning. No way is he ready for an EPL club yet but if we do win the title this season with the style of play we used last season, i do fear that the magic hat will be heading down south to test himself further.

I wouldn't blame him if he did go, I hope it's just paper talk as I think he's a terrific manager for us. BUT The gap in money is astonishing. Just look at the play off game reported at worth 170 million minimum. He would probably add a zero to his 6,000 a week contract and would be spending 10s of millions on players instead of looking for out of contract players, youngsters and lower league guys. Also Southampton are a very well run club with a board who like to look long term with thier managers. They have a great youth system which is widely regarded throuought the UK. Anyone who thinks these thing would not be a big draw for MW are dreaming. Maybe he will think it's just a bit too early to leave or has been impressed enough with his experience so far at MP and Ibrox and has been bitten by the bluenose bug. Personally I'm hoping he's our off seasons biggest signing but if he goes to a club like Southampton I couldn't blame him for taking the opportunity.

If he did go surely his reputation will suffer! Who wants a manager that takes on a big project, plants the seeds then disappears before the job is barely even started! Especially since if he leaves I assume that McParland and the rest will follow and we will back at square one. How do you think football fans would react to being abandoned like that after what we've endured! Doesn't bare thinking about!

Seems we Bears are panicking a little. Fairly certain Warbs is sticking to his original plans. He will move but I'm confident not for another couple of years, or more.

Chill lads, let's look forward to next season.

The guy is a workaholic said so himself, he has been away from his wife an kid (s) for the whole season put yourself in his shoes, you'd want time to spend with your family recharge and he will meet up with the squad before flying out to America (I think ) for pre season, he left his list a targets with Robertson etc to get it done spoke to the big targets Barton an kranjcar we will just wait an see who we manage to get in through the door.
