We’ve been absolutely dugmeat in the last two games. Nobody is denying that. But let’s be honest, did anyone truthfully in their heart think we’d have topped the league in December and be two points behind coming into Christmas? Let alone having our destiny in our own hands going into the last lot of group games in the Europa League.

We dominated for so long and became so accustomed to it that anything less than winning isn’t good enough but look at our squad and our budget? It’s the second best squad in the league and our budget is the second biggest. And where are we and where are we probably going to finish?

We need to be realistic and give the manager time, we probably can’t stop 8 in a row but we must make sure to stop hopefully 9 but definitely 10. Chopping and changing the manager every 6 months isn’t going to get that done.

Give it up mate. There’s a fine line between belief and moronity! We aren’t good enough and we’ve folded this month. Big month and we fold at the first hurdle. I wanted us to get to the 29th still within touching distance and see what Gerrard can do in the window but at this rate we are going to be well out of it by then!

10 Dec 2018 04:54:55
The only reason we are two points off the top is because the dirty mob made a shocking start too the season.

10 Dec 2018 07:42:07
Totally agree gallant few. Two bad results and evryones lost perspective and calling for Gerrard to go and the reason the manky mob has dropped so many points is because the league's more competitive than it has been in a long time. Gerrard needs a few transfer windows to get the players he needs to play his style properly. We also have to remember the level this team have been capable of hitting this season and that's why the last two results have hurt so much. Everyone's needs to get right behind them now and support.

10 Dec 2018 08:36:25
bluethebear. 2 bad results?!?!

dundee, aberdeen ( 3 times ) , motherwell, Livi, celtic, killie. add in the fact we only beat Hamilton due to some seriously soft pens and you are saying this is good enough? if the Tic hadnt started so poorly we would be miles behind

im not calling for gerrards head as we need stability but its no where near good enough

with the 2nd highest budget and the so called 2nd best sqaud we should be blowing teams away, especially the bottom 6 sides

the biggest problem i can see is the constant tinkering with lineup. We have not played the same starting 11 2 games in a row this season and especially the defense need to be a consistant set up to gel.

10 Dec 2018 09:43:06
Yeah the last two results I was obviously talking about and your going back picking out results 4getting the circumstances in which they happened and if the tic hadn't started so poorly we'd be miles behind?!?! So celtic not blowing teams away with 4times our budget but we've to? Is there no coincidence that celtic, Aberdeen, hibs dropping more points and hearts, killie picking up more points? I think the reason is the league is more competitive this season. We are second with second highest budget not far from them even tho we lost at parkhead and we are in Europe so have to try utilise our full squad. Perspective.

10 Dec 2018 10:29:55
To say we are better than last season is wearing a bit thin now. We were third last season, second if manks and sheep had not colluded to keep us third.
Morelos was here before Stevie so no credit there for him, but we have to give him two full seasons at least to see if we can come up with some cash to help him sign some proven players.

10 Dec 2018 10:53:04
Blue bear, what circumstances am i missing? apart from the Alfies red against the sheep the rest are down to just atrocious perfomances and not showing up.

10 Dec 2018 11:21:00
Did we get a goal chopped of yesterday? WAs that the first time?

10 Dec 2018 11:26:53
We’ve had some poor performances but who hasn’t but we’ve been really unlucky some games.

10 Dec 2018 12:20:11
If Lafferys goal stood yesterday it would of settled the players and we probs would of gone on to control the game. The refereeing is Scotland is shocking!

10 Dec 2018 12:34:50
bluebear. yes we got a goal chopped off. but we got a goal given against hearts. so what's your point?

10 Dec 2018 13:04:20
2 wrongs don’t make a right it looked like we would have won against hearts anyway like govanfront said it’s a different game yesterday if it stands.

10 Dec 2018 13:45:14
Stuarty1872 you’ve put down what I was thinking pal wanted to be within touching distance come end of December see what we could do in January with transfers but we could’ve fallen away by then they way they are playing.

10 Dec 2018 16:04:24
with your logic of if the goal stand yesterday its a different game, then the hearts game is a different game if it doesn't stand. Whos to say we woulda won that? we were playing rubbish in that game aswell

obv 2 wrongs don't make a right but its all relevent. the fact we are relying on one bad cal from the ref in a game against worst team in leauge with 10 men isn't acceptable

i never thought we would properly challenge this season, all i looked for was an improvement and closing the gap. its not panning out that way. 1 point better of in the league than this time last season and every one was calling last season a disaster and calling for heads so what is the difference?

10 Dec 2018 16:25:40
The problem is it didn't stand and the fact we can't beat one of the worst teams in our league while they are down to 10 men is nothing but horrendous I want Steven Gerrard to succeed at rangers and I'm not one of the ones calling for his head but you just can't defend those sorts of results.

10 Dec 2018 16:45:59
finally FB. sense!

10 Dec 2018 17:07:47
The difference is if we drew 1-1 away to hearts had Morelos goal not stood, it wouldn’t of been a terrible result, not what we are after but not the end of the world. But 1-1 to a 10 man Dundee because a goal didn’t count is a bad result. Regardless of the performance against Dundee we should of won that 2-1.

10 Dec 2018 17:33:41
We can't go into games hoping the referee is going to get every decision spot on to help us win a game we should be putting games to bed so we don't need to worry about referees performances and again against any team in our league that are down to 10 men we should be looking at winning we can't seem to break teams down that sit in and defend.

10 Dec 2018 17:51:18
like most bears i love my team passionately but i'm also a realist it would take more money in the january market than we can afford to get us up to speed with the puddle drinkers hope to god i'm wrong but what i have witnessed this month begs me to differ just not good enough but still a huge jump forward from last season.

10 Dec 2018 17:52:50
32 games 16 wins 11 draws 5 defeats
Form like that will win you nothing. I totally agree that we can't just keep getting rid of the manager we have to stick with one for a couple of seasons. I am not calling for the sack, absolutely not but Gerarrds problem for me is that he is trying to be too clever at times. He talks about taking 1 game at a time but a lot of changes he makes are with the next game in mind. For instance starting Kent to me looked like he was getting him minutes so he can play him on Thursday. Playing Rossiter from the start was out of nowhere given he hasn't played for a while. The constant chopping and changing is affecting form in my opinion, good teams are built on consistency and that includes team selection. At times this season we have looked better than last season but the results really aren't any better aside from europe. The midfield just is not good enough, while Ejaria and Coulibaly could go on to have really good careers, they are not good enough or experienced enough to carry the weight of the demands and expectations of such a big club where the spotlights never goes off. Where do you find players with that sort of mentality though, average players in poor or average sides are getting the better of us week in week out as of late and that's where we need big players to step up and brush them a side, We don't have those type of players.

12 Dec 2018 12:29:53
Didn’t Celtic draw at dens park the other wk there but yet use are all on here criticising us for not winning there and shouting Celtic rubbish Hot the now **** they just drew with Motherwell a team we had pumped a few games b4.
