Don’t think jones is a bad player and has ability to run at players and pass them, could see him as a replacement for Middleton. I like Middleton but I feel he is quite like McKay as in lightweight, jones is a bit more physical in my opinion.
But for me we play far too many high balls in the box and personally where we fell flat on our faces against the sheep. We have missed Kent and his ability to drive and dribble past players, jones is no Kent that’s for sure but a decent alternative. On another Morelas is good at holding off a player when the ball is played on the deck but McKenna was winning almost all the ariel balls as was Berra for hearts when we played them.

Kent isn't ours, Candeias has discipline problems, Middleton is raw and inexperienced, and Grezda is still feeling his way into Scottish football, and Jamie Murphy is out till next summer.
Jordan Jones, an NI international with bags of SPL experience wouldn't be a bad addition at all.

@jboy this is the problem. Stevie and G-Mac have both confirmed we have discipline issues, but fans like you and others will continue to make excuses instead and blame the refs. If you know better than Stevie Gerrard, show me your Champions League medals.

Candeas is on the wrong side of 30. Jones is a good addition to the squad. You won’t see Steven Davis back at Ibrox as a player.

As some say Davis won't return with him now captain of Southampton Jones is a squad player I don't think he is good enough to hold a starting place.

So72 I wasn’t suggesting that we get rid of Middleton, I see a lot of potential in him and feel that comparing him to McKay was supposed to be a compliment as on their day how direct they are make a massive difference going forward. I just feel that we are relying on the young lad a lot and a good squad player to compete with him would help him progress as well as making sure he gets the appropriate rest when he needs it.

Also describe candeais as no better than a squad player.
I never said we don't have discipline issues, said candeais does not.

Fair enough jboy - just think 5 bookings and two red cards in 25 appearances for a winger is a sign of a discipline issue. Not the most obvious one, true, but it's not great. I'd rather see Grezda in his place tbh. I think Candeias has started to become stale past his sell-by date and it's time to, as you say, leave him as a squad player.
Incidentally, what players do you think DO have discipline issues if you don't think two reds and 5 yellows aren't one?
