Heard a rumour whilst I was on holiday, a fellow bluenose from Glasgow told me that Naismith was coming back in January, or the club was trying for him.

Agree3 Disagree24

Would be a great addition as back up to Alfredo.

09 Oct 2018 15:17:20
We need three quality options up front. We have two. Naismith would be welcome in my book.

09 Oct 2018 17:11:11
Take the wee man back in a heartbeat gives 100% all the time but don’t think Hearts would play ball unless someone going opposite direction maybe Wallace.

09 Oct 2018 17:17:33
Think he is still a Norwich player, only on loan at Hearts. Believe contract with Norwich up in June.

09 Oct 2018 19:08:00
Agree would take Naisy back. Expected to see a lot of knuckle draggers commenting on this calling him all the traitors under the sun etc. He would run himself into the ground for the club if he came back, would take him in a heartbeat.

09 Oct 2018 19:20:28
Why does thinking naismith should not be allowed anywhere near a Rangers shirt again, after he disrespected the last one he had, make anyone a knuckle dragger? Please explain swag.

09 Oct 2018 20:56:18
Methinks the swagman is the knuckle dragger. If he thinks it's ok for that wee person to disrespect our club so badly and unnecessarily, then fine. I for one hope that he never gets to slither in the back door again at this great club. And I was a big fan of his the first time. That press conference did it for me when I was already at an all time low. I suggest you google the interview with him and Whittaker and come back and see if you feel the same. If you do you are not the sort I would ever want near me.

09 Oct 2018 21:10:13
I must be a knuckle dragger then! I Personally wouldn't take the "traitor" back - as you call him Theswagman.

I think its great that you can forgive and forget the way in which he left our club - I can't. It maybe my shortcoming, but I'm happy to live with that.

More so than I would be happy to see him ever profit from our football club ever again!

He could have transferred over like Steven Davis, or he could have left with some dignity (like a lot of the others), saying "Rangers have offered to transfer my contract to new co - but I have decided not to accept it and want to try my luck elsewhere", fine.

But he chose an entirely different route! and I simply can't forget.

09 Oct 2018 23:48:08
Norwich freed him.

10 Oct 2018 08:06:40
Nothing to do with interview, over that and moved on. He's just not what we need.

Mcgregor came back, lafferty came back, they both deserted us but all is forgiven? Naismith says something stupid and he is an outcast? The mentality of some on here is questionable🙃. If gerrard signed naismith would you all rip up your season book and call for gerrard's head🤔😂. Naismith would add to our group, no doubt about it👍. Tell me, those who didn't want lafferty back because he "deserted us", did you cheer him when he dragged us out the shoite at motherwell? Or when he equalized in villareal? . Or what about the other "deserter" mcgregor, his saves at 1-0 against hearts kept us in it, who here never cheered the great saves? C'mon show of hands🤔. Who sat in a huff with their arms folded with a petited lip🤔😂. How can we move forward when knuckle draggers keep going back to the past. If gerrard wants naismith then that's fine by me👍.

10 Oct 2018 10:28:44
I like Naismith and would welcome him back, problem is the system we play- no way would he play in Alfredo’s role as a main striker, I see him more in the role of Arfield and that’s the problem Arfield is better and we have lots of good options in there, so I think Naismith would be surplus to requirements rather than the typical “he’s no welcome back” attitude!

10 Oct 2018 10:43:58
I'd take him. He's better than Sadiq.

10 Oct 2018 11:36:55
The club at the time was run by absolute criminals and charlatans. It was an emotional time, he was a young man and people make mistakes. People need to get a grip. The only people you should be angry at are the ones who ran the club into the ground. You know as well as I do that if Naisy came back he would give 100% for the team and would be a massive upgrade on our current 3rd choice striker.

10 Oct 2018 11:39:05
Wee Colin, what a wee tease you are! Seriously if you want to toll over and let that wee rat give you one, fine. Maybe you're used to that, I, m not, and I'm most certainly not a knuckle dragger 👍.

10 Oct 2018 12:03:25
I take it you sat in a huff then seeker. By the sounds of it your not used to much, and nope I'll not be getting one as you put it👍. Feel free to comeback with an educated argument to the points that I stated in my original post. that's if you have time inbetween changing the plasters on your knuckles. 👍.

10 Oct 2018 12:25:27
coldo, is a knuckledragger just someone with a different opinion to you? If not then please explain what one is and how it applies to the fans who do not want a player who disrespected us fans when we were hurting like never before, back in a Rangers shirt. Show me where Mcgregor or Lafferty had a go at us.

10 Oct 2018 12:59:53
A knuckle dragger is someone who has a certain outlook because of bitternes / hate or a lack of understanding / education on the issue thus explaining why they vent in hate instead of actually contributing a valid and reasoned argument as why they form their belief 👍. I respect the opinions of others if the opinion has substance, is informed and brings a valid contribution to the discussion👍. So jyf have you got anything constructive to add? Who said they had a go? Mcgregor and lafferty bailed out when we needed them just like naismith. I take it jyf that in 2012 you were one of the ones that said laffery and mcgregor would be welcome back or were you in the majority that said none of the rats would be welcome back, be honest now🤔. So what you are saying is that the rats who deserted us are welcome back but the rats who deserted us and said something stupid are not welcome back? This unreasoned thought process is part of the definition of a knuckle dragger. See above👍.

10 Oct 2018 13:03:16
You're wasting your time jyf. It's only at the wind up anyway as I've already seen it on here refer to Naismith as a wee rat. A balloon is the term I believe 👍.

10 Oct 2018 13:19:17
Mcgregor lafferty naismith etc are all rats for deserting us, I like everyone else was devasted when the "rangers men" abandoned us in 2012 but you can't have a heirachy of rats that define who can and can't comeback. that's nonsensical👍. Anyway mrs mckay, how's barry getting on? Is he a superstar yet? Naismith is better than barry dumb bee-atch 😂👍.

10 Oct 2018 16:31:48
I think that should be hierarchy coldo. Hierarchy of rats! Preposterous! 👍.

11 Oct 2018 08:22:39
You know your gubbed when your only comeback is to point out a spelling mistake. Well played seeker👏👍.

11 Oct 2018 08:36:30
Coldo,

I disagree with your opinion that Naismith actions and words during that presss conference can be put down to stupidity. It was a cold and calculated press conference to bail out on the club. There is no justification for what he said and this was a guy who twice suffered serious knee injuries and was well looked after by the club.

To this day it’s still a major bone of contention about the new club issue and for one of our own players to say that knowing how this is unforgivable. Can you imagine the reaction if Lennon had said that at a press conference? It’s a sad day when you label fellow Rangers fans as knuckdraggers just because they don’t like Naismith or want him back. It’s an opionion based on what happened and not unreasonable.

11 Oct 2018 12:05:32
Bindo, what's sad is that the very same "fans" that labelled mcgregor lafferty etc rats for running out on us are now cheering them and all is forgiven. Look I don't care if naismith comes back or not, I just find it hilariously condratictive that these "fans" have forgiven lafferty and mcgregor but naismith is the route of all evil. Its knuckle dragging mentality when you break it down like this - These fans are pretty much saying that its ok to abandon us but don't dare call us a new club 🙃👍.

11 Oct 2018 14:42:37
the difference between the others that "bailed out" on us and Naismith is that Naismith said the things he said, which were totally unacceptable and clearly a stab at rangers football club. he also suffered major injuries and offered a new deal therefore well looked after. and in many rangers fans opinions kind of owed it to the club to at least sign over and get some small fee for him.

11 Oct 2018 15:22:06
Personally I would rather that we looked for a younger player with sell on value. Better to look in Europe and even further afield and see if we can pick up some quality at a knock down price!
