Think it's time to consider coming to an arrangement With Jordan Rossiter to mutually terminate his contract
Unfortunately he's just not going to be injury free to be of any use to us
Shame but reality has to kick in.

This injury is just a knock from a challenge, nothing to do with his existing injury problem. He’ll be fine.

22 Jul 2018 02:48:35
I still think he's worth the gamble, if we can get him fit he's a fantastic player and will make us a ton of money when eventually sold but I understand your point, his injury record is 2nd only to Daniel Prodan.

22 Jul 2018 07:40:28
I like Jordan Rossiter but I fear he's had so many various injuries at a young age, whether it be the back, knee or ankle that he is always going to have issues now.

22 Jul 2018 07:44:02
I would love him to recover and kick on, but it's not going to happen, I don't really understand why SG said oh it's nothing to do with him being injury prone, he was just unlucky. Isn't that what inury prone means, basically being injured in innocuous challenges hence why he is now injured again. The quicker we forget about him the better because loads of people are hoping he is going to be the next SG but he is never going to be fit enough to play enough games to have any impact on our team. As I say would rather I was totally wrong and he gets fit and stays fit but I think it's a lost cause.

22 Jul 2018 07:57:19
Nonsense. There’s a cracking player there. If we released him he would just go on to be an amazing player somewhere else. That’s our luck.

22 Jul 2018 08:30:40
Rossiter is a cracking player and should be given more time lots of players have these type of injuries but grow out of them once there body stops growing he is one of the most promising young players in the team and he’s not exactly on a fortune is he.

22 Jul 2018 08:52:15
My point is we can't rely on him so there is no point in everyone saying oh wait until Rossiter is back he will be captain he will be amazing. We need something now not when he eventually gets fit enough to be able to play 30 40 games a season. I also didn't say he was a bad player he is a good player but if he can't play it doesn't matter how good he is.

22 Jul 2018 08:54:37
Yip far to many yrs on the treatment table to justify keeping.

Any other working environment he would be GONE.

22 Jul 2018 09:26:32
Highland bear I agree, cracking player he is, also one of the most promising young players in the team agreed. To play devils advocate so to speak here's a thought, you said we should give him more time, so we have already given him over 2 years of time and not really had anything back from him but give him more time. People (not necissarly you) are shouting get rid of Candeias Morelos and Windass we shouldn't give them more time, at least they were fit to play in 90 percent of our games last season and without the 3 of their contributions we would probably have finished in the bottom 6. This is not AN attack on your point but more looking for your thoughts on it.
Rossiter - 2 and a half years 11 games, keep and give more time.
Candeias, Morelos, Windass 40+ games each and most of our goals and assists from last season, sell.
What's your thoughts people.

22 Jul 2018 09:58:44
the reason jordan rossiter is at rangers is because liverpool let him go because of his continuous injurys liverpool also rated rossiter but like us seen him spend far too much time with the physio.

22 Jul 2018 10:01:43
If gers can keep an old danny prodan for yrs they can keep a young lad for yrs help him recover etc smashing player an it true wat another post says if gers release him he get fit no injury an we will all be shouting why did we not keep hold of him.

22 Jul 2018 10:34:11
It Would be totally pointless and a huge was of time, money and effort to release him now. Might aswell keep him and hope he comes good. If we let him go he will sign for a new club, be great, and all we will hear every transfer window will be “come home Jordan” “would take him back in a heartbeat” etc etc.

22 Jul 2018 10:34:38
It's more a case of potential. The boy obviously has loads, both in ability and value.

The players you mentioned, we pretty much know now, unfortunately, that they're not going to either fulfill theirs, or have reached their maximum.

I think we can give him this season. We will know then one way or another.

22 Jul 2018 10:46:35
How can you say he’s a fantastic player when you’ve hardly seen him play? Looks like he has good potential with the few games he’s played but fantastic player right now he’s not.

22 Jul 2018 10:48:02
There are a lot worse than Rossiter that need to go before we consider paying off a guy that, if he can just get fit, will be the best midfield player at the Club.

22 Jul 2018 10:59:56
@queens Liverpool wanted to keep.

22 Jul 2018 12:47:28
Jordy15 I’m not one calling for any of the 3 players you mentioned however Morelos isn’t good enough to be our main striker he needs help big time! I think he needs help and most certainly should not be playing as a loan striker. I also like Windass think his work rate needs improvement but as an attacking midfielder he can certainly score in the division but think he is a centre mid not a winger and I thought Candeias was one for our best players last season when he and Tavernier play well we look a genuine threat on the right hand side. The reason I would keep Rossiter is I believe if he comes through these injuries he would potentially be a better player than any of these said players I think he looks real quality and considering the fact he’s not on a lot of money I think it’s worth giving him a bit more time.

22 Jul 2018 12:48:02
Think there's lot of growing and recovering in Rossiter yet. SG obviously feels same and prepared to watch him shine.

22 Jul 2018 13:05:45
10k a week for doing nothing why would he leave.

22 Jul 2018 13:19:46
Tattie82, he should not leave as we gave him a four year deal.

22 Jul 2018 13:34:44
If we had followed most people's logic we would have got rid of durrant, during his comeback years.
We got rossiter for development fee, paid him approx one million in wages according to people on here, I think he is on much less than 10k, still worth the punt.

22 Jul 2018 13:45:46
Rossiter is too injury prone I agree remember Daniel prodan and seb rosintal cut the the losses.

22 Jul 2018 13:54:45
Fair enough he probably will, if he gets properly fit be one of the best midfielders we have. Just to clarify I don't want him punted or paid off but if we are going to challenge them this season we need to turn our attention away from what's happening with Rossiter because I doubt he will be back any time soon, fair point about his wages. I agree Morelos does need someone up top with him to be fair I am not a fan of 1 up top anyway. I prefer a 442 but I don't think we will be seeing that anytime soon. 1 thing is for sure we will all know what we need to know after the 1st 4 or 5 games in the league.

22 Jul 2018 14:14:04
Horsy well said.
My point is we pay him off he signs for someone else, plays very well as we know he can, everyone will be on here complaining we got rid of.

22 Jul 2018 14:54:34
If you want to take to nth degree, lot of people on here moaning about cost of Rossiter. Well as a non playing asset he's tax deductible and costing us hee haw.

22 Jul 2018 15:52:33
Miller, Ned to get u do my tax return.

22 Jul 2018 16:30:51
Some young players just take time for there body's and muscles to mature. Sure the lad will grow out of it if we just persevere and will reward us by becoming a top player for us.

22 Jul 2018 17:42:58
It is most unlikely that during his time out injured that we would have been paying his full wages since I would have expected our Insurance to cover this, less any deductible.

22 Jul 2018 19:33:20
I think if Rossiter is fit he will be a cracking young player but if he is going to he injured all the time I would love to see Docherty get his chance. The engine on the boy is unreal and I personally think against them last season he was 1 of the only player to show some grit and actually try.

23 Jul 2018 07:32:06
There is no way we should be looking to release Rossiter. Yes he's had his injury problems but he's only a kid in football terms and what a player he will be once he remains fit. The perfect example is our manager Stevie G. Gerrard himself was an injury prone teenager who suffered from groin, hamstring and back injuries which stopped him from playing when he first broke into the Liverpool team. Once he fully developed and stopped growing the injury problems stopped. he turned out not too bad!

23 Jul 2018 07:41:05
Head says yes. Heart says no. He has to have a key to him though like anyone.

23 Jul 2018 07:51:47
Morelos being brutal has nothing to do with being up top on his own as people keep putting it. Most number 9s nowadays have that role to play that Morelos does because hardly anyone plays a flat 4-4-2 anymore because it doesn’t work and when teams are attacking the number 9s should become part of an attacking 3 but because Morelos movement and hold up play is getting worse we struggle in that department. His movement hasn’t got better in the year he’s been with us and his finishing seems to be getting worse.

23 Jul 2018 20:17:29
Rossiter is superb, I believe he will come good and this injury won't keep him out too long, I honestly believe if he has a good season then kicks on he will one day be captain of our club.

24 Jul 2018 12:29:29
Jboy, if was back in UK, giro not taxable so cool.
