well if Skrtel figures quoted in paper are true €4/ 5m fee and 60k a week for a 33yr old with 1yr left on his contract that just ain’t going to happen

I wld luv to try and re-sign davis but won’t contradict myself based on the above but if hughes is new saints manager he tends to go for bigger stronger midfielders so you never know but days of rangers paying 30k+ wages a week are gone
we can’t go back into ridiculous debt paying players those kind of wages
id go for mcginn if rumours about lenny wanting halliday and MoH are true use them and offer cple mil on top see if we can deal it will be an investment the lad is quality and cld move on to England for big bucks I also like the cntr half at dons mckenna and full back boyle at hibs

Bartley would cost £6million plus £40,000 a week. So what makes you think we can get him if we can’t get Skrtel. Why even bother getting Gerrard if we can’t give him a fighting chance!

Think guy well in thirties, one year on contract, irrespective of strengths, is NOT worth money being quoted. We could finance two class CB for cash being quoted. His appoinment would simply be a marketing exercise.

Hibsboy, I agree with you for a change. We can’t afford him, you would have to be daft to pay anywhere near that for a CB who will be 34 by the time the season is underway.
Need to spend wisely or we will end up in trouble again. Plenty other CB’s around for a lot less wages.

Definitely Hibsboy, it's the players also, expecting 60k a week to play in Scotland is farcical. Don't think Celtic would even dream about paying a player those kind of wages.

King has got the season tickets sold so he is off the hook for a while. Now comes reality. There is no money. He has not complied with takeover panel therefore there can be no share issue so no £6mill for SG. Would not be surprised if SG walks before start of the season
