The board had been in contact with Coleman for the managers job who was considering taking the job, but who was also looking at other offers. Sunderland offered more money which swung it for him. The board will now give Murty a run whilst they speak to other targets. I'm my opinion Coleman would have been an excellent signing - modern approach and likes to play attractive football. However, Murty has the makings of an excellent coach - as long as he can develop his confidence.

did you ever see wales play when they didn't have bale or ramsey playing they were utter garbage i'm glad he went to sunderland he’s bn a failure everywhere then got the wales job where there was zero pressure on him having one of the best players in the world available to him made a big difference

After today’s performance Murty has no chance of getting the job! He had Alves sitting up in the directors box while he gives Danny Wilson a game. Bring in Mcleish starting on Friday until end of Season if he does well then he gets job if not he walks.
