Great news

Remember hearing that they were keeping an eye on him.
Thoughts: what's the lowest bid we would accept? For me its 250k
This tho just re-affirms just how much I think the Squad needs trimmed.

31 Jul 2017 12:43:24
I am no way or shape a fan of waghorn but a think its a bit risky selling him just now if herrera and morales don't start finding the net

31 Jul 2017 16:27:01
Wouldnt consider anything under 750k the money these clubs spend on players is absurd OK he's no world beater but they want him so they can pay for him

31 Jul 2017 16:35:25
Jzer.

Agree. nothing less that 750k

31 Jul 2017 18:37:53
Sunderland are loaded and need a proven striker. From memory did Waggy not also have an association with them earlier in his career. He has a decent reputation in the English championship, should be able to get £1m for him.

31 Jul 2017 19:40:03
Would be great if we could get anything near 750k but honestly think that a bid of 500k will be their top bid, but 500k would still be a good bit of business.

31 Jul 2017 20:31:52
Aye, colshygers, we'd miss Waggy's great goalscoring contribution. was it six or seven in 30-odd games last year? He's never the answer, I'd much rather promote from within and bin the deadwood.

31 Jul 2017 20:42:46
who was last seasons top goalscorer wee ecky?

31 Jul 2017 22:31:17
Not being funny but the transfer activity in England is absurd and a player of Martyn Waghorns calibre would easily be between 3-4m We will be happy to receive at least 1m for him Why would we be forced to sell for anything less?!

31 Jul 2017 22:49:01
In the league, Kenny Miller. Seven of Waghorn's goals were in the league cup against diddies. He did well in the championship too, also against diddies. That's his level, not a Rangers team that wishes to compete with the mhankies.

31 Jul 2017 22:49:57
So you'd keep him ahead of emerging talent?

01 Aug 2017 00:53:57
Waghorn is entering final year of contract In sure we will ask for £1m and Sunderland will be looking to secure him for half that. Despite TV money and Parachute payments Sunderland don't have a lot to spend don't know if it's down to wage bill. I'm sure they got £30m for Pickford to Everton but they are actively trying to sell the club which was 1 of the reasons McInnes never took the job.
I think he will go and it will be for around £650-700k which we will use to buy Walker.

see if u actually read my comment instead of bumpin your gums you would notice i'm not a fan of waghorn what emerging talent have we got in striker position? please don't say ryan hardie he is not the answer if we sold waghorn and used the cash to buy moult i'd drive him to sunderland myself
