Keep hearing rumours about players saying they don't rate the new guys. Fair enough they may well have said this but I'm almost 100% sure a couple of Mexican internationals (one of which hasn't actually played yet), a 90 odd capped Portuguese international, a Scotland international and a highly rated young Portuguese centre half are all better than the likes of Kiernan, ohalloran, Forrester etc.
Teams don't gel over night these things take time. The new players need to get used to a new country, different styles and different culture. let's give them time to settle before we judge.
It hasn't been an ideal start but I'm not worried about losing closed doors friendlies, we've had seasons in the past where we've had awful pre seasons and won the league. I don't think we will win the league but I think we need to be patient. let's see where we are at the end of August then we can start to judge until then we need to get behind the manager and his new players.

Yeah your right teams don't gel overnight but come on, losing to parttimers then getting beat off a second string st Johnstone team with most of our new players involved. The writing is on the wall, anyone who says Pedro should be given a chance is in denial, he is a disaster and all the rumours about unrest and players confronting the manager is beginning to gather pace and with the new season just around the corner i for one hope the board have the balls to sack this guy and bring in a proper manager before it's too late. Unfortunately this board are weak and will stick by this guy until the results will inevitably leave them with no choice but to show him the door. I'm all for giving managers a chance but for goodness sake the job is clearly too big for Pedro!

There's been a campaign against Pedro since he walked through the door by the media and it seems a lot of rangers fans are buying into it as well. Results over pre season have been shocking but then it hasn't been a proper pre season as they weren't counting on shocking Euro result. I think the fact many of the new signings can't speak English isn't helping. I've heard the rumours about previous players (kenny miller) specifically saying the new players are rubbish but it always comes from a friend of a friend who supposedly knows a player. Left and right back concern me but I think we should see how things go first few league games before jumping on the bandwagon.

Agree 100% got to give Pedro and players time I really think it will but all the negative stuff especially from the media won't help they want us to fail I know Europe was hard to take what about the other Scottish teams just as bad and Celtic still have a lot to do for champions league group stages

Enough of the conspiracy theories. Show me the evidence of a campaign against Pedro. In my eyes, any bad press Pedro has had has been of his own making with his idiotic statements and results.

The simple truth of the matter is not one thing has changed in his time as manager except some good sound bites and a few signs up and around the training ground.
The new players, from the limited time we saw them, weren't very impressive - but most players need time. What worries me is his "tactics" and "style".
Setting out that last Europa game with both Rossiter and Jack is mind blazingly negative. Persistent mentioning of high press, quick play, crosses from wide and so on are all well and good, but its not showing on the park - Aberdeen have been weakened this summer of that there is no doubt, yet I would still fancy them to finish above us this year, and when you factor in the amount of money invested in the squad, it is a shambles.
Pedro can only take so much blame, you then must start to look toward the board that appointed a man with no real pedigree and a questionable track record at best.
Only time will tell, but I would think from our first 5 games, anything less than 11 points and he has to be replaced.

With Aberdeen signing Stewart, mackay Stevens and christie I would say they have at least stayed on par with last season.

I have to admit my concern is the lack of tactics not so much the signings. I personally am not a fan of 433 or 451 whatever you want to call it. I think a 442 diamond would suit us. Jack, Pena, Dorrans and Kranjcar in middle with 2 strikers up front. Playing with 2 strikers is a must for me in most games, especially Ibrox

Jyf is spot on. He has faced negative press amongst some Rangers fans from the beginning. Same type of fans who want a "Rangers man" in.
Neiderkorn was just the car crash most of these numpties were begging for so they can install another "Rangers man".

Pedro a disaster . not taken in by media. judging him by watching team and results since his arrival . not one good performance from any of his foreign signing as I have stated before Derek mcinness should have been boards first signing and I am sure with millions Pedro has been wasted mcinness would have built a good team to challenge the tims

Definitely not a fan of the 4-3-3 formation. Imo I think we should start near enough all games 4-1-4-1 then switch accordingly. Our opening results are massive and we will need to build confidence and not go into games thinking we've already won!
We have on paper a harder start than last Season, Motherwell away is tricky and I don't care what the final score is as long as we win the thing.
Thoughts. What formation do u think Ped will go with at Fir Park and who?

ronnie, guys like u that put all the negativity out there do nothing other than harm our team and make us sound like greeting faced wains.
yes we have lost a couple of games but that doesn't mean this team won't click.
and to be honest i don't think we will win this league for the next few years realistically but i'm not going to say these players are terrible and the manager is worse just because they haven't clicked yet that's just childish.
