Bears. After reading a few reports regarding King saying that investment will happen for Pedro I've the feeling that King and the board have been holding back money and I now believe that Pedro could receive a Transfer Budget in the region of 10 million!

One thing that does worry me is that if certain players refuse to leave due to a wage decrease then we must loan them out whilst trying to get as much of their wage paid for by the other club!

I do not want to see us just paying players off to get rid of them, but I really do not think that this will have a huge impact on how much Pedro gets as King is reported to have said that he will invest significantly and that our new manager will have more to spend than Warbs did if needed!

Really do think that a Transfer Kitty of 10 million could happen.

What are you basing that figure on?

Highly doubt it. Maybe a couple of million here and there then a couple of small fees on rough diamonds from Portugal, Greece and whatever other countries pedro has coached in. Might get a tidy fee for the likes of tavernier and kiernan since warburton rates them so much. As long as we get a decent quality of players who can handle the pressure then I'm happy and it's a good start

The retail deal would have to be sorted for the budget to be anywhere near 10 million, sorry but I can't see it being anywhere near or even half that figure.

4-5 million?

So you think King has been saving up cash, and you think it's about £10m. I would replace the word think with hope.

If it is 10 million then real chance challenging the title right players coming in etc, I personally think this league just needs about 12 million to win this league

Rangers need £20m and a bit of good luck to have any chance of winning the SPL next season! Chances are we will need to replace a number of players including Tavernier, (who will be off to Nottingham Forrest), we need a centre back with some quality, we need to either sign Hyndman or replace him with a player of similar ability and we need two other quality players, one for holding midfield and a striker.

For the right quality they won't come cheap. If we are lucky we might recoup £5m from selling the aforementioned Tavernier, Kiernan, Halliday and a couple of others. If Crooks comes back and can do a job for us it will be a major plus as would a fit Rossiter but that is hope rather than expectation.

I just hope that Pedro can find some gems in Portugal, South America etc., that will improve us to a level that can challenge for the league.

Dont know where some of these figures are getting pulled from lads. a couple of players in the 500k bracket and a few frees will be our whack and we'll just need to hope Pedro has a few gems up his sleeve.

TOMUSA : Not sure we need a holding midfielder now if we are to be continuing with our improved pressing game.

i doubt we will win the league next year but we should be closer and to the 10 million comment i say dream on Andy dream on.

we will never spend that much and even if we do i can see the dark side spending about 25 mill this year to compete in Europe, so we will still be behind them squad wise but i can't see them winning the league with the same amount of points as this year as we will be more direct and more clinical next year (or at least i hope)

i hope i'm wrong and Pedro gets a war-chest of 15 million but i doubt that very much

James Stirling, without a decent transfer budget Pedro will struggle to compete with Celtic and that will not be his fault. While I don't see Celtic spending the sort of money that you mention I do believe that they will strengthen their squad and to be honest they have some of the best talent in Scotland right now. I watched their young full back in action for Scotland last night and he was excellent and they have a number of very good players. They could lose one or two in transfers down south but would secure big fees for them. Right now, with the exception of Hyndman, a loan player, we have no one of the same quality.

I suspect that King is hoping that a deal can be struck with Sports direct so that we can generate additional income and also have a Share Issue that will bring in new funds but if we are hoping that he will personally put in more funds then I think we are wasting our time.

DK did raise £7m+ recently from selling one of his companies in New York.
Don't want to speculate, however, he is sitting on a cash pile at the moment.
