What we must understand is that our team/ squad simply do not have the winning mentality required at Glasgow Rangers.

The only thing that can possibly change that until the end of season is bringing in Alex Mcleish.

Billy Davies will not change that, nor will Tommy Wright or anyone of that calibre.

The board need to get their finger out and employ a manager who will give the players the fear to lose a game.

We need to finish 2nd - we then have a summer clearout a restart the DOF and Manager project from there.

Completely agree. I think McLeish would be the best man for the job of it's only short term as he's actually been good the majority of the time when he inherits a team, it's when he tries to build a team that it goes pear shaped for him. I think he's one of the only managers that would accept standing in as an interim with the stage he is at in his career.

The reason the team don't have a winning mentality is simple, the squad is full of journeymen from the lower leagues of English football who haven't won anything in the game! No leaders and not enough people with the club at heart

The full of scottish football is full of journeyman who haven't won anything. that's just the way sckttish football is

Yes but that's what set us apart in the past we've always had winners! Greig, Butcher, Gough, Amoruso, Ferguson Leaders of men who lead by example and set the tone befitting of a rangers player that's all I'm saying

and we can't afford to live like that again i agree our team is pish but we are still third in the league this is our fist season back think some fan need a bit of perspective on here and McLeish short term yes long term don't think so any one remember poalo vanoli and hamed namuchi

Kevin1984, I agree. The players were good last season in a lower division. Most have struggled to perform this season. There is no leader - no Gough, Greig, Butcher type who could grab the team by the scruff of the neck when things weren't going right. Thegers1986 is correct when he says the whole of Scottish football is full of journeymen but our problem is a lack of fight. Wee teams like Dundee, Ross Co and Morton in recent weeks have shown more desire than we have in the games. Dundee on Sunday, the majority of our players lost every 50-50 ball. These guys shouldn't bother training, they should be made to watch videos all day of guys like Souness, John Brown, Tam Forsyth and Graham Roberts.

To a man our squad is better than most (bar Celtic) in terms of what the players have done in there careers, for example Kranjar has played in world cups, Wilson, miller, Wallace all international players, Hill has played in the premier league etc. When you compare that to Hamilton or Ross county for example they have very few if any with a similar CV but the point i'm trying to make is Everytime we play them they are organised defensively and hard to beat and that's the route we should be looking to take for the immediate future, organise, build from the back and see where we are in the summer

Guys firstly i rated and liked big alex mcleish when he was our manager! But why do we keep looking back the way to former rangers managers? Its always the same ie. get walter smith, get graeme souness, get alex mcleish, not for me fellow bears, although i will and always have support any rangers manager, when they're eventually appointed! Jorge The Hammer, i totally disagree with you when you state alex mcleish could change our teams mentality, and billy davies couldn't! Billy davies without a shred of doubt in my mind, WOULD be able to change our players mentality as he's excellent at that, as well as being a very good manager/ coach! He knows the demands of glasgow rangers football club and has an inner steel and confidence within himself! He'd be perfect for us just now, at least until the end of the season IMO!

7 trophies in 4 years and last 16 Champs League. big Eck signed a few dummies in his time. but Warbs Le Guen and even Watty signed a load of garbage from time to time. remember Boumsong nacho novo prso. as well as Boyd as a youngster from Killie. Signed Buffel and Big Marv and Murray from Hibs who were excellent value for money. Also brought through Hutton Mccormack Burke Mcgregor. and cut the wage bill and made £13m in tranfer fees. not a bad job i'd say
