Some reports out today that the young lad gilmore has chosen to join Chelsea. It's a shame if it's true, I think he would have been a class player for the teddy bears in the near future. All the best to the wee lad, hope he develops into the top player it looks like he will become. Good luck Billy.

Money talks yogi, such a shame if true, I don't understand these moves, play first team football at rangers, or waste away in London

29 Jan 2017 12:09:43
Really don't get the motivation apart from money. Gauld, Feruz, Wilson do these youngsters not learn?

29 Jan 2017 12:11:13
Chelsea have a terrible record of bringing young players through to there 1st team. John terry is probably the last 1. So his parents should think long and hard about move to chelsea and forget the £ signs.

I know delboy, I wish he had chosen to stay at Ibrox. 100 grand is the reported sum. Mind you karma is a batch, we've done it to Accrington and leister and we're trying to get the Murphy lad from villa. Can't complain too much about chelski doing the same to us. Your right though it's a shame we might be losing one of our most promising youngsters.

29 Jan 2017 13:13:05
No doubt he's a talent but regardless how old he is, if he doesn't want to play for us then let home go

29 Jan 2017 17:29:33
if the lad is as good as reported then rangers should offer him a contract that would temp the lad to sign and gaurentee him first team involment in his contract 5 6k week for a highly promising younster is a no brainer if he is as good as reported look at some of the so called players at our club that are sitting on these wages already to keep our best young players wee need to take a game gamble if not would be better closing the acedemy now and save the money

29 Jan 2017 18:36:41
Agree wae u Craig mate 2 grandma week would tempt boy to sign that's not a big wage for somebody with as much potential as him

29 Jan 2017 18:55:37
You could offer the boy £10k a week but if he wants to go to Chelsea then there's nothing we can do.
The fact is we can't compete with these kinda clubs, they have more money and a better set up, I don't blame anyone for wanting to move on to better things so if he wants to go then he'll go

29 Jan 2017 20:29:10
the boys heid has been wasted, probably never hear of him again, probably people burning his earhole with garbage about him being wasted at rangers or how good he is

29 Jan 2017 20:47:44
I did tel everyone about this the other day and was shot down in flames

maybe people on this should start actually taking some things seriously but maybe that's just due too some of the guff some people make up

29 Jan 2017 20:52:58
We keep blaming the boy but how do we know that it is not the parents and perhaps there are incentives for them as well as the boy. Strangely enough these things happen and parents are usually more at fault that the youngsters!

30 Jan 2017 13:39:37
That is spot on tom, most of the time the parents have the final say with young players of Gilmores age

30 Jan 2017 16:01:44
Tom, I remember about 25 years ago we offered a 15-year-old £15k to sign for us, an English club offered his parents £25k and the lad went there. He never made it past the youth setup and spent years playing junior football. Just one of many I know about. If Gilmour and his parents want to grab a quick buck at the risk of losing millions, it's their decision.

30 Jan 2017 17:36:21
most of our first team isn't hitting the 10 grand a week mark so what on earth deludes you guys into thinking a wee boy with potential is worth anywhere near that I say offer him 500 quid a week if he it then let him go but I will say the 10 grand a week at Chelsea se they will probs give him 2 grand or something he is only about to turn 16

30 Jan 2017 18:42:27
wee-ecky, i agree. as matter of interest can you remember who the player was 25 years ago?
