Seems like MOH thought he might be on the way out after speaking to some of his mates at St Johnstone who had heard chat about him coming back but apparently coaching staff at Rangers have confirmed to him that he's staying.

That is one bit of good news! Could we please offload Halliday!

So you would rather have Ohalloran at Rangers than Halliday? Ohalloran brings more to the team does he Mr USA?

10 Jan 2017 18:23:37
Rick I would rather have Celtic players playing with us than Halliday worst player I have ever seen in a rangers jersey that's played in the top league

Do you have Kieran blindness, GANNET10?

10 Jan 2017 19:33:08
Im not a fan of Halliday but that's abit much Gannet as i can think of dozens of players that were worse

For a start Rick Witter they both play different positions so no comparison in that respect. Now to the players themselves. If I take off the Blue tinted specs that shows me that any 'Rangers man' must always be in the team and look at reality I see the following. Halliday is not a Holding Midfielder. Halliday is not a defensive midfield player. Halliday is slow. Halliday has two passing styles, sideways and backwards. The vast majority of his passes are short, consequently putting his fellow player in a bad position. He affords little cover to his defence, he does not track back as quickly as he should, he lacks guile, his reading of the game is not what it should be. He was good in the Championship, he continues to live on one game against Celtic last season that we won, (possibly the worst result possible in reality since it give us and by the looks of it, too many people at Rangers, an inflated opinion of the team's ability to compete in the Premiership.

I believe O'Halloran deserves more game time before a decision is made as to whether he is good enough, I have the same view of Crooks. I have seen enough of Halliday to form the opinion that he is not good enough to take us forward.

He's not a holding midfielder, I think we all know that. he's done a decent enough job overall though but I think he should have had a spell on the bench because hasn't been performing the last couple of months regardless of the fact he isn't playing in his proper position there's no excuse in my opinion for some poor performances but he's not a bad player. Michael ohalloran however just never shows enough, runs into dead ends too often and technically poor and is easily marked out of games. As for the team not competing in the premier league, what are you talking about? It doesn't matter how poor Scottish football is at the moment which it is, it's just the way it is but we're more than capable of holding our own in that league, it's just going to take longer to start competing with Celtic again Mr USA.
