I have it from a good source at Murray park that tav is going nowhere and also that if the senderos deal falls through we will be looking at the following players and bringing one of them in either on a free or on loan

According to the papers we got a young 19 centre half from earth rovers. He was their young player of the season! Where is he? Instead of over 30+ centre half's why not hives this guy a chance with Wilson? Then have hill pr somebody else to mentor him? We are quick to bring our team down but its early days and our formation and selections need tweaking. We will be I'm it for the long haul but once we fell and get players peak physically we in for a shout! No surrender!

Personally I think we should get senderos and another hopefully young cb. I know we probably won't need two but it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd love to add chambers, heard arsenal are wanting rid of him but they won't let him go for free. Therefore I can't see that happening.

I wouldn't let Hill within a million miles of any of our young lads. If we need a mentor then it should be David Weir.

Not Every player MW brings in is going to make it. I would go with a midfield or as close as that beat Selick last season. Holt and Haliday. Barton is a passenger . Niko i reckon has been away from top level far to long he's isn't even an impact player off the bench.
End of the day we need to remember where we shop @ Poundland!

Why do people keep putting Crooks in as a CB? have you even watched him play in this position? And Wallace as a CB. Hmm I can think of a few issues there tbh mate. I don't think I have ever seen Wallace head the ball and I certainly know he doesn't know how to mark! His greatest attribute is his engine/ work rate. Midfield and Attack I agree with though.

I would have agreed with the davie weir comment if we had seen ANY improvement in Wilson or kiernan over the last 12 months but they are both pish poor attacking and heading the ball in our box . Either he's not being given time to teach/ mentor them or the way he's trying to do it isn't working. Maybe a fresh idea ie Hill is what's needed. I don't know I'm just putting an idea out there.

I don't think we're good enough to beat Celtic at the moment. Not with the 4 3 3. In my opinion we need to flood the midfield and sit deeper. I would go 4 5 1. I would def be making space for Kranjcar and Rossiter. Haven't seen much of windass but from what I have I would like him to be in the squad too. I know he hasn't done much for us but I feel we really lack pace so I would stick ohalloran in too.

We need a Davie Weir, Richard Gough, Terry Butcher style player alongside Wilson to help develop him. Forget Hill and sadly, forget Kiernan.

Just because weir was a great defender doesn't automatically mean he will be a good coach.
I'm beginning to wonder if he still has a pair of boots? He can't be any slower than hill.

On the Rangers website crooks said he will play where asked to play, but he did mention he is not a centre half or even a defensive midfielder, he says he likes to go forward and get a shot at goal! He did mention when out on loan a couple of years back he played as centre half but is not his position!

Chambers has played at central defence but need an out-and-out dominant centre half.

Regardless of who we get we only have a few days left to get this defence sorted out I still can't believe this hasn't been addressed sooner because it's been evident ever since we won the semifinal.
