Only passing on a piece of news I've just heard guys, I'm hearing that kyle lafferty is definitely signing again for rangers possibly to be announced before the european championships start on friday, I don't want big lafferty anywhere near rangers but a good source of info of mine says he's signing.

Agree20 Disagree9

I'd take him back. If someone can tap in to his NI form at club level he'd be a nice wee asset. Any rumors of the fee or is it a freebie?

05 Jun 2016 13:41:24
No reason to doubt you but I for one don't want him anywhere near ibrox. an absolute imposter and I would like to say what I really think of him but I'd get barred off the site!

05 Jun 2016 13:47:47
Warbs15 i know youve been right in a few of you're posts mate, but i hope you're incorrect with this one mate, lafferty done nothing but cause hassle in the dressing room last time, plus i think he threatened the club with court actions before he last departed? we know he can score goals when his contract is up for renewal lol, but for me its a no, the guy is more trouble than he is worth, imo, don't get me wrong mate he could be a changed character, but is it worth the gamble, not in my eyes its not.

Ad have lafferty bk no prob boys a decent enuff player. he jumped off a sinking ship granted but end of day it's his job must put himself and his finances in place b4 anything else tbh. don't think any1 of us would stay in our job if we were going t lose a fortune in wages, time 2 move on let bygone b bygones and go for 55.

05 Jun 2016 14:12:53
Only thing I know about mate is that I know 100% the guys bought a house in thorntonhall. Posted it here a few weeks before it broke he was marrying girl from East Kilbride (next town over) , so I believe this could be correct.

If it gets us the league I'd sign Bin Laden.

I don't know why there is this anamosity regarding these players they obviously knew what was happening with green et all and got out before it hit. Yes they tried to sue green and co but because they were custodians of rangers it looked like they were sueing rangers. I know it hurt a lot of fans but remember maybe these guys knew before we did what was about to take place and knew something that we still donr know. everyone deserves a second chance to redeem themselves in my opinion.

05 Jun 2016 15:31:39
I'd like to no what trouble he has caused in the dressing rooms he's been in. He was a young player who probably spat his dummy out now and again. I've never heard any of his team mates slag him off. He might have been a rocket off the pitch but he never caused unrest in the dressing rooms he's been in.

05 Jun 2016 15:41:55
I don't want lafferty back just because I don't rate him I think we could aim little higher in terms of quality, it doesn't bother me that he left before if he was good enough I'd have him, I trust the magic hat though bring in the right people.

05 Jun 2016 15:53:17
I agree, imagine your boss came to you and said look, I need you to take a 50% wage cut to save the business, then a couple months later liquidates them, would you hang around when there was a chance they might not even get voted into the 3rd division? I onow I wouldn't.

05 Jun 2016 16:00:47
Lafferty was nothing but trouble when he was at Rangers and we had more Lafferty Headlines on the front page rather than the back page! He never showed anything of the quality that would merit a £3m / £4m transfer fee and personally I don't want to see this character anywhere near Rangers.

05 Jun 2016 16:14:34
Big Laff was good in last 18 months of his career in big games especially. If rumour is true I for 1 will be pleased. I know he left in acrimonious circumstances if he hadn't I reckon most fans would be delighted to see him return.
From a Footballing perspective there's no doubt a guy who averages more more than a goal every other game at International level would be a good signing.
Might just be a rumour but Lafferty, Miller and Waghorn would be good for us as they all have different qualities and strengths.

05 Jun 2016 17:00:18
Stop being so negative aboot lafferty. If he had stayed and been sold it would have only filled the pockets of we know who. Need to get the best possible chance of stopping the sweaty mob, that is the one and only objective, and none of us should lose sight of that. Warbs is needing full support and no time for doubters, all together now.

05 Jun 2016 17:19:31
Whoever warbs buys that will do me, lafferty on his day is a great striker but I can't see it happening.

05 Jun 2016 17:38:19
I'd have him back. He's been excellent for NI so don't see why he can't be for us. It's another option upfront especially with his height. Do I remember correct and say he was played out wide under previous management? Get him up front winning high balls and get some runners off him.
Folk are saying he was "nothing but trouble"! I don't remember any trouble aside from the Mulgrew head butt incident.
Let's not forget what he did to Kilmarnock inside 7 minutes! Probably the most amazing 7 minutes I've ever seen from any Rangers side. EVER!

05 Jun 2016 17:50:20
Aye he used to be pants throughout the season until a new deal was in the offing when he would apply himself. Tall, but you could slide a fag paper under his feet at corners. Utterly frustrating and frankly not worth the hassle. Never rated him and really hope he f***s off again like he left us at the drop of a hat in 2012.

05 Jun 2016 20:11:53
Would be decent acquisition for us but likely to go to the likes of a Hull, Burnley etc although IMO never worth £8m closer to £3m.

05 Jun 2016 20:55:08
Who mentioned 8 million.

05 Jun 2016 21:37:03
3 million? Are you having a Lafferty?

05 Jun 2016 21:51:08
Compared to some of the puddins that have been mentioned here, the big lad is a worldie!

05 Jun 2016 14:43:08
Yeah I did post lafferty coming back a while ago and got told I was silly. Don't want him back!

05 Jun 2016 16:37:46
Bring him back scored some quality and vital goals for us,

05 Jun 2016 17:38:51
I think Lafferty would do a job for us, and tbh off the park he seems to have settled down which is the main reason people against him coming back, MW and DW no mugs . so I continue to trust their judgement if they do sign him 💙✌.

05 Jun 2016 17:43:14
Stuzo healso could have stayed like big waldo, if he had really wanted to be a legand, but lafferty was out to make money from any club willing to pay him, i know its a short career, and players try to make a nest for when they retire, but do you honestly think waldo will be short of dosh because he stayed? because i dont, lafferty was more interested in how high he could pish up the street poles when he was drunk, imho.

06 Jun 2016 00:47:01
Just as a player, I'd take him back.

After how he left us though, I'd hate to see him in a Gers top again, he doesn't deserve the privilege of playing for us.

06 Jun 2016 02:57:42
Amazing. The fans who are crucifying Lafferty (saying he's a dressing room troublemaker with nothing to back it up) are the same ones who were ecstatic when we signed Joey Barton, a PROPER aresehole.

06 Jun 2016 10:18:07
On the thinking "lafferty is good for NI so would be good for us" I have two words folks . David Healey! Look how that turned out.

06 Jun 2016 12:42:26
Lafferty was good enough the first time round and the spl is nowhere near the level as it was 5 years ago.

06 Jun 2016 11:31:20
Wee ecky we were not privy to the dressing room hastle caused by lafferty, but more front page than back page stories let's people know the of lafferty, and though none of the players that shared the dressing room with him said nowt ide imagine a good few of them will let us guys that paid his wages know all about him when they right there books, .

06 Jun 2016 20:29:37
Anyone in particular, bigjoh85, or is it just your imagination right enough? Personally I wouldn't go near him, but that wasn't the point. It's the hypocrisy of those who slate him, whether he was on the front or back pages, while willingly accepting Barton, who was also a regular visitor to the front pages.
