wish people would get a grip honestly the deal is not done joey barton is away on holiday with his partner to consider rangers offer so until we hear it officialy i wish people would get their facts right. also think we should be trying to get cover in the full back area's for tav and wallace should they get injured. anyway predictions for saturday i believe it is going to be a tight nervy game but i think we will win but score wise not so sure.

I think if Barton signs for Rangers on a longer contract than two years it doesn't make a lot of sense. Granted age is just a number but many clubs have a one deal policy for over 30's for a reason and that reason is simply the sustainability of an athletes body.
Like others have said it could be a stroke of genius from the club or a complete disaster. It will be nice to see a household name back in the the SPL again.

Spl isn't exactly la liga, so being in your 30s goes for nothing. if youve got the talent at that age, don't see how it would be a problem.

totally agree with you jamesreilly its okay to speculate but to say its done when everyone know it isn't is just stupid. and cover for the full backs would be a good idea we should take aird back for a start the bot has talent so another rb would be nice but only once we have replaced our shaky cb's especially Wilson.

I agree that age is just a number, he could be another Davie Weir and play until he's 40. However, for me a 3 year contract is excessive at his age, because we don't know when his body will give in. 2 year deal, with Rangers holding the option to extend it for a 3rd would be the best solution in my eyes.

Age is just a number, everyone's bodies age differently so he could do a job until he's 36, look at Kenny miller.

I feel Barton is only using us to get the terms he wants down south. Burnley would be crazy to let a top player go for nothing.
