Rangers linked with Grant Hanley from Blackburn.

Agree9 Disagree1

I hope not runs like he is wearing lead boots.

05 May 2016 08:09:13
Not good enough I'm afraid.

05 May 2016 09:29:15
Seeker how can you say he isn't good enough? He is 24yr old captain of a championship side, a Scotland international who has premiership experience and is renowned to be the most aggressive attacker of the ball in the championship! The boys a beast and he has been working with some of the worst coaches around. At the age of 18/ 19 he was playing against the best sides in the Prem and he scores goals from set pieces. When everyone on this sight has been asking for a Butcher/ Gough type player, they would get it with this lad.

05 May 2016 09:31:36
He is without a doubt good enough he's better than what we have but doubt we can afford him.

05 May 2016 09:49:51
Id bite someones hand off to have hanley, how people say he's not good enough is beyond me when he's playing every week for Blackburn and hardly ever misses a Scotland game so he must be doing something right.

05 May 2016 09:55:34
Him and Wilson could make a great team together, I think Kiernan has been better than Wilson this year but if u put a big no nonsense guy like Hanlon in beside Wilson it would bring the best out in him.

05 May 2016 10:10:49
He has good aerial presence I'll give him that, but he does lack pace we already have problems with that, and our passing out from the back won't suit him, he is considered one of top defenders in championship and is on massive wage we couldn't afford him anyway so doesn't make a difference.

05 May 2016 10:43:26
Agree with the lack of pace but he is very aggressive which is what we have been missing, wages may be a barrier aswell, however I think that we are all agreed it would be great to see him put griffiths a few feet in the air 😂😂😂😂.

05 May 2016 10:56:20
totally agree with the lack of pace but who buys a CB because he's fast? its like saying I buy my strikers on how well they can tackle.

05 May 2016 11:27:27
I do know Blackburn are in financial turmoil and are in need of offloading players to balance the books which could suggest a price drop, as for wages, that would be down to what the player is willing to do and I seriously doubt he would take a hit to his pay packet to come play for us.

No doubt other clubs down there will be sniffing around if we make any progress in transfer discussions.

05 May 2016 12:17:38
Hanley would be a superb signing, I agree that he would also forge a great partnership with Wilson and bring the best out of wilson.

05 May 2016 18:09:15
Take him in a heart beat. Got best motivator in mw and best advice on his game from weir. Would be amazing signing. but I can't see it down to wages. Had a look on wiki n suggested he signed 5 yr deal in 2010. Any extensions as this would make him a free in sep.

05 May 2016 18:28:40
A lack of pace in the centre of the defence has been abundantly clear this season. The lad's big and strong, but not much different to what we already have. I also have concerns about him trying to play from the back under pressure, the Warbs way. Anyway he'd cost us most of our budget and want wages of £25k a week or thereabouts, so this isn't going to happen.

05 May 2016 19:48:10
I would rather Bartley than Hanley. Bartley I'd a good strong player and would go well with kiernan. Plus he'd wind up brown.

05 May 2016 20:28:40
He is slow but look at davie weir he never had any and he was a top player for us. Bring in a decent defensive midfielder then it becomes even less of a promblem. I'd 100% take him, shame he'd be a fortune.

05 May 2016 22:15:23
Hanley 100% not coming. 3mil for him which is all we will spend in total. Good enough though. Ps don't bite graham speirs bait, he's playing games.

05 May 2016 21:23:01
I would rather we signed millwall's big no nonsense centre half mark beevers who's out of contract at the end of this season, warbs and weir could develop beevers into a top class centre half as this guy had huge potential when he was younger and was likened to the arsenal legendary centre half martin keown, warbs has proved already that he's brilliant at taking players who've not fulfilled their early promise and developing them into terrific players ie. waghorn, tavernier etc, signing mark beevers would be a terrific piece of business for us and would fit into our structure in every way ie. our budget, perfect age, still young and room for development.
