Pedro has started conversations with a few players that he already knows and is looking to bring them in for next season. He also wants one of them to be a new captain.

Raul Ruidiaz
Jose Abella
Carlos Izquierdoz (new captain)
Bruno Alves
Rashid Sumaila

Peruvian Messi - Raul

06 May 2017 15:40:57
I think the sumaila one is a goer pedro a big fan of him. Alves is 35 but he would be able to play at least 2 year at this level no bother you would think he has played at world cups and is a big hard player could be something in this. The argentinian guy recently signed a new three-year deal with his club

06 May 2017 18:31:55
3 centre backs, a right back and a striker. Not a bad start to be honest. Still think we need someone with creativity in the middle of the park, as well as someone that can actually play well as a holding midfielder.

06 May 2017 18:55:21
We've got a superb holding midfielder in young jordan rossiter, if he's over his injuries!

06 May 2017 19:20:13
sgp84 don't think he'll sign all 3

06 May 2017 20:43:05
Surely there will be work permit issues with a few of these guys?

06 May 2017 21:03:20
Any 2 of they centre backs and the rb and the forward and it's a great start imo

07 May 2017 09:19:56
He will sort midfield also

07 May 2017 10:18:18
Work permits may not be an issue especially when we're leaving Europe

07 May 2017 10:45:58
Izquierdoz and Abella sound just the type of tough defenders we need. They would be very good signings in my view. Add Alves and Sumaila and they would transform the team.

07 May 2017 10:36:35
JD90, you're spot on my friend, caixinha won't sign all the 3 centre halfs he's been linked to, ie. rashid sumaila, bruno alves and carlos izquierdoz! I think without a shadow of a doubt, he'll try and sign 2 of them! The question i pose is what 2 do my fellow bears prefer caixinha to sign? I think sumaila will definitely be signed and it will be 1 of the other 2 who'll join him! I personally would love us to sign bruno alves for the next 2/ 3 years! He's a quality centre half and a no nonsense, old fashioned centre half, that i truly think we badly need! Big alves would cruise it playing in the scottish premiership! Absolute toffee!

07 May 2017 10:37:21
I hope i'm wrong Supercoop but how do we know Rossiters superb when we've seen him in abt 5 games?

07 May 2017 10:43:31
Don't need a new captain. lee wallace ain't done anything wrong

07 May 2017 11:41:59
Kaymer will wallace get a game next season? If beerman can get the nightmares of roberts destroying him twice and learn from it then he's the future

07 May 2017 13:51:08
JLS, have you not seen rossiter playing for liverpool and the england unders mate? I've seen quite a bit of rossiter and let me assure you he's a cracking player, putting injuries aside for a minute! Trust me and anyone else who's seen a great deal of him would say the same thing! This is an 8million quid player we're talking about here! that's what spurs were told by liverpool, when they wanted to sign him! We were lucky we got him for 250k because of the cross border rule my friend!

07 May 2017 14:57:24
Listen we will be lucky to sign any half decent player from anywhere. No cash, no scouting network no chance. All this talk about alves n 12 players just before ticket renewal date usual ploy. How many years are wr going to fall for it.

07 May 2017 15:02:49
Wallace would still be my LB

07 May 2017 15:01:17
I'l take you're word for it Coop but a combined 6 games for us and Liverpool and 9 caps for the U19s doesn't convince me mate. when he gets a full season under his belt is the time to start throwing wild statements around.

07 May 2017 15:46:56
Wallace is not captain material. Yes, he should be our left back but a captain leads by example and Wallace does not do that. We need a seasoned captain. We need a player with the leadership skills that we saw with Butcher, Gough, Ferguson, Amoruso and Souness.

Wallace doesn't come anywhere close!

If we are fortunate enough to sign Alves then he has all the credentials to captain the team. Otherwise we need to sign a player of similar quality with leadership quality.

07 May 2017 17:20:42
Supercoop, an £8 million player?! Spurs obviously never went for that or else he wouldn't be at us! Although, can only expect rubbish from a guy who started a poll for pedro's replacement already and hilairiously included frank de boer in it, wake up you absolute dreamer!

07 May 2017 19:24:56
I maybe in the minority but I haven't been overly impressed with Beerman.

07 May 2017 19:31:55
There's no doubting rossiters ability when he's fit cooper but the problem is he's injury prone hence the reason Liverpool let him go, again we've been shafted with an injured player

08 May 2017 08:25:53
Kenny Miller should be club captain without a shadow of a doubt. If he's not playing it will obviously fall to someone else but he's proven this year that he's the driving force and the clear leader within the club.

08 May 2017 11:43:43
Beerman, young learning the trade wallace experience international he comes first in LB position. wallace was fit and playing roberts would have been put in his place in the 2 Old Firm games.

05 May 2017 23:56:33
Rangers linked with portuguese central defender bruno alves. Also heard a bid of 1 million to be placed for vladimir weiss

06 May 2017 07:21:42
Weiss was brutal for us.

06 May 2017 08:23:12
you must be the only rangers fan to think Weiss was brutal

06 May 2017 08:49:18
He wasn't too hot at the time

06 May 2017 08:52:37
Rick Witter have to agree with you. One quick free kick doesn't make you a good football player, Weiss is piss

06 May 2017 09:31:00
If any of you seen him at the euros you'll know that he's matured very well as a player he was brilliant for Slovakia in the euros and that's a much higher standard than the spl

06 May 2017 09:47:16
Exactly. 1 pass against Celtic and that was more or less it. Never played all the time for that reason, brutal.

06 May 2017 10:06:53
Motherwellbear. My opinion on Weiss is when he played for Rangers. Not the euros as I haven't seen any of them as I stay in Australia

06 May 2017 10:13:18
Weiss please no don't understand why people want him back

06 May 2017 10:24:30
Rick witter so you're saying no based on who he was years and years ago and not the player he is today? Lol logical mate

06 May 2017 11:53:20
I was really excited seeing Weiss come off the bench against Hibs on his debut for us, he looked a class act. Never produced it reguarly thereafter, glimpses here n there but he had a good euros and looked more consistant. Definitely take him if it was an option.

06 May 2017 12:41:04
He scored a sensational goal against Russia at the euros and Played well against England too. He had a good tournament. If he is signed and consistent he would be a great addition to this piss poor squad

06 May 2017 13:24:44
Weiss would be a fantastic signing! The wee man's a complete legend. He's developed well as a player and LOVES the Gers. Just what we need!

06 May 2017 14:01:29
Weiss was the first player to be able to get bums off the seats with excitement in a long time! Always thought he could do something when he picked up the ball and ran at the defenders. Great player! I would guess way out our price range though and wages would b crazy.

06 May 2017 14:05:57
Weiss is 10 times better than anything we have at ibrox this moment in time! I would take Naismith and Weiss back anytime because the simple reason being there quality international players! I would build my team around Naismith have wiess out on the wing buy another striker who will bang 20/ 30 goals a season and that's our frontline sorted!

06 May 2017 14:27:15
So let me get this straight, one of Pedros main targets is a 35yr old defender and another player who was bang average first time at Ibrox! No wonder we are in such a god awful mess. Should be signing hungry young players who we can sell on, make some money and get the club moving forward. What the heck is going on at ibrox

06 May 2017 14:33:15
Weiss for me wasnt great first time round and i think it was more to do with his antics in the crowd at the last OF game of the 2011 season that endeared him to us then his tweets since he left. That said nobody could argue that he must be better than what's there at the moment

06 May 2017 16:05:34
Think pedro said in his interviews about player recruitment that he would only be wanting to sign "men". Doubt he'll be going for young hungry players, he'll want to get guys that know how to get the job done. There's less risk that way.

06 May 2017 17:04:26
RonnieR9, even at 35 years old, bruno alves would still be a tremendous signing for us! Have you actually seen this guy play? He's a terrific centre half and everything we're needing! In Italy the teams there have many good defenders and in a country where defending is considered an art, bruno alves is certainly 1 of them! We would get at least 3 good years out of him in this league! Alves would breeze it playing in the spfl premiership!

06 May 2017 19:14:57
I appreciate what your saying but at 35 regardless of his experience in Italy I still believe we should be signing younger players that will benefit the team in years to come. As a short term option yes he would be a good signing tho, certainly better than what we have!

07 May 2017 09:46:40
I have to say when Weiss played for rangers he was a boy who showed in glimpses what he could do, he was very exciting but like Barry McKay not consistent enough, but now the boy has turned into a man and has some consistency to his game, also wears his heart on his sleeve, he would be a very welcome addition for me

07 May 2017 11:08:57
Every single player we sign doesn't have to have sell on value. yes in a perfect world the majority would but we still need 1 or 2 with genuine big time experience and you don't get that from 20 year olds.
